My tentacle is teasing her clit again as soon as she nods. She faces me, her hands running through my hair and over my skin, caressing the mounds of my breasts. Our mouths move in unison as I strum at her clit while holding the eggs inside her.

“It feels so good.” She’s surprised, moaning softly into my mouth. “We can do this again, right? With the eggs?”

“We can do whatever you want.”

She pants against me, her climax building slower a second time. I add more tentacles to suck and knead her breasts and nipples.

“I’m going to—” Her orgasm takes over and I release my hold on the eggs inside her, slowly slipping my tentacle free. Her body vibrates with tremors, and I embrace her as one by one, each egg leaves her body, drawing her climax out.

“You are perfect.” I brush a kiss on her forehead and scoop up the eggs. Moving toward the pool I use to access the sea, I let the eggs gently fall from my tentacles for them to form a cluster at the edge of the water.

Morgan joins me, reaching out for my hand.

“How long until it hatches?”

“I do not know. We will have to be patient.”

“I love you, you know.” She looks up at me.

“And I, you.”

I return home from my swim early and watch my mate admiringly, my head bobbing just above the surface of the sea as she and our son skip over the rocky platform outside our home. They look for rock pools so they can watch the tiny creatures inside; a regular excursion for the two of them. They stop and Morgan bends down, pointing to a critter. Gaius follows suit but overbalances and topples right over into the water with a splash, not quite having worked out how to use his suckers.

He cries out, waving his chubby little arms in the air for Morgan. I see her smile, lifting him out of the pool and into her arms, his tentacles wrapping themselves firmly around her biceps and neck so she cannot set him down again. She places a kiss on his cheek, not minding that he is now dripping water all over her.

I chuckle, swimming closer, and pull myself out of the water.

“What have we here? Did the little prince fall into the water?” I approach my family, pulling them in closely to plant a kiss on each of their foreheads.

It took one full moon cycle for our egg to hatch. Morgan squealed for me when the once marble-sized egg that had grown to the size of a ball showed signs of hatching; the little one inside wriggling and squirming until the egg punctured and it spilled forth into the sea. His skin is bluer than mine, and he has a shock of ginger hair and green eyes that neither of us can explain.

“Mama.” Gaius’s chubby little hands reach out for me, and I take him from Morgan, rubbing my nose against his plump cheek.

“Hello, my son. Did you catch a fish for dinner?”

Gaius shakes his head.

“Well then, what are we going to eat? Perhaps we should eat you!”

Gaius’s sweet baby giggles echo around us as I tickle his tummy.

“Motherhood looks so good on you,” I whisper into my mate’s ear, pink staining her cheeks. And it does. Looking at my little family, I cannot help but think how lucky I am to have found something so rare and precious in this world. To have my heart grow from thebitterness and be so full of love for these two beings. After everything Morgan has been through, the love and patience that she has for our little one shows me she ended up exactly where she was meant to be. Here, with us.

The End.
