"It's in my room." Noam turned and started down the hallway.
Kasey followed, taking a chance to see the house. It was a simple single level, but it was larger than it appeared on the outside. He was disappointed that the doors to the other rooms were shut, probably to keep Casper out. When they got to the end of the hall, Noam led him into the large master bedroom, stopping near the closet where a huge gun safe sat against the wall.
Kasey turned away as Noam worked the combination lock. "You have a nice place." He looked at the large king-sized bed, shocked when he imagined Noam lying in it.
"Thanks. It's a bit more than I need, but I liked the area and the large backyard." Noam swung the door to the safe open and started pulling out several guns. "Grab that duffle bag on the floor there and set it on the bed. We can put them in that."
It was the same bag Noam had had at the range the last time they were there. He grabbed it and set it on the bed and started to take the guns Noam handed to him and set them inside. He forced himself not to stop and look at the guns as he did. There would be time for that later. "You've got some amazing guns." He shook his head. "I'm honestly jealous."
"Nothing else to waste my money on." Noam carried a few boxes of ammo to the bag. "Ready?"
"Yeah, I'll grab the bag so you can lock up." Kasey picked up the duffle.
"Thanks." Noam led him back out to the doorway leading into the garage. He popped the trunk open, then ran back inside.
Kasey set the guns into the trunk, leaving it open, just in case Noam needed to put anything else in there. As he waited, he turned and looked around the double car garage. One side held Noam's car, but on the other, there was a nice dirt bike. Kasey walked over, running his hand over the seat.
"You ride?"
"Not really. I've been on bikes before, but nothing more than giving my friend's Harley a test drive up and down the block or riding with someone else on theirs. Obviously, you ride." Kasey glanced over at Noam.
"I used to race, but an injury I got back in the IDF put a stop to that. Now I just go out and play when I can." Noam shut the trunk.
Kasey was impressed. The more layers he peeled back and got to know about Noam, the more he liked what he saw. "You're a man of many talents."
"I don't know about that. I just do what I enjoy. Most people think I'm simple, a homebody who doesn't get out. The guys are always asking me to join them after work for a drink or to go to their family barbeques and things. Honestly, I'm not that good of friends with them. I tend to just want to come home, kick my feet up and watch TV."
"You and me both." Kasey left the bike and walked over to the passenger door of the car as he watched Noam open the driver's door. "I have a few close friends that I will hang with, but I'm not into the bars or clubs or huge gatherings."
"Just the gun range." Noam got into the car.
Kasey slid in beside him and smiled. "A man has to have priorities."
As Noam pulled out of the garage, Kasey hoped that the two of them would spend more time together. He really liked the man he was getting to know, and for once, wanted to see where the friendship would go.
