Sawyer growled and pulled her into his arms, kissing her right there in front of his teammates.Fuck convention. He wanted this woman. She’d been at his place for the past two weeks, recovering, and he wanted her there forever.“You’re gonna stay here in paradise with me,” he confirmed, looking into her dark eyes.

“That’s the plan.”

“Thank God.”He kissed her again, deeper this time, and Riley clung to him like she never wanted to let go.Life was strange the way it unfolded, but he wouldn’t change it for the world.Everything that had happened in the past had led to this exact moment.Riley was meant to be his, and Sawyer was thankful as hell that he’d found her.

“I love you,” he told her, his voice serious.

Tears smarted her eyes.“I love you, too.More than you’ll ever know.”

He kissed her, slow and deep, when a commotion off to the side suddenly drew his attention.Sawyer looked over to see his teammates gathered around Wyatt.“The commander left,” Wyatt said with a frown, reading over a message on his phone.

“Left?”Ryan asked.

“He’s gone,” Wyatt confirmed.

Sawyer took Riley’s hand and strode over, his jaw hardening as he looked at his team leader and the concern etched on his face.“What do you mean he’s gone?”Sawyer demanded.

Wyatt eyed him, and the others quieted to hear his response.“The commander went to Colombia alone to find Luciana.”
