“Daddy. Papa. Wake up.” Willow’s excited shouting caused me to jerk awake, panic momentarily taking over my body. I instantly searched her out and let go a sigh of relief when I saw her. With her smile on full blast and joy radiating off her, Willow sat in our nest with us, gently rubbing a finger over her brother’s egg.
“What’s going on? Everything okay?” Nik rubbed his eyes beside me. “Willow, are you bothering Simon?”
“No, Daddy.” Willow shook her head rapidly and then pointed to the egg. “Look. Crack.”
Scooting closer to my two babies, I saw what she spoke of. “Oh my god. Simon is trying to get out. Nik, our son is coming today. Look at the crack.”
Nik put his arm around me and kissed the top of my head. “I’m going to go downstairs and grab us all some breakfast. I have a feeling we won’t be leaving this room for a long time.
Standing and stretching, Nik left the nest and the room. I smiled and looked at our daughter. “Come here, love bug. Papa needs morning snuggles.”
Willow climbed into my lap and kissed my cheek. “Love you, Papa. I love Daddy and Simon too.”
“And we all love you, baby girl.” I cuddled her close to my body and savored the love radiating off her. The energy of our daughter at nineteen months was bright and powerful, even with the dampening spell. Luckily it usually was full of warmth and goodness, like today. We would need to keep an eye on it as she grew and got into fights with her brother though. I remember a few violent outbursts from my siblings, growing up.
Nik was right about not leaving the room for hours. I couldn’t tear myself away from the sight of our son fighting his way into the world. Besides a quick bathroom break, I sat near his egg the whole morning with Nik and Willow by my side. We played some games and colored a few pictures. Willow needed a bit more entertainment than a slowly cracking egg to keep her mind and body busy. But finally, as the evening began to draw near, the first major crack appeared.
“It shouldn’t be too long now.” Nik nuzzled the hair of a napping Willow. “After the first large break, they usually will make it out within minutes. Should I wake her?”
“You can try.” I chuckled. “She did demand to see it. So, if we don’t at least attempt to rouse her, she may throw a fit.”
“Hey, sleepyhead, your brother is almost out.” Nik kissed her cheek and Willow’s eyes popped open.
“He’s here? Finally?”
“Not yet, but it should happen any minute. I know you didn’t want to miss it. You’ve been waiting four months for him to break out.”
Willow turned her head and looked at the egg. “Come on, Simon.”
As if understanding his sister, a small claw slashed through the egg’s shell, and a tiny dragon’s head emerged. Bright-eyed, with teal-green coloring, Simon made his appearance into the world.

“Are you sure you are okay with Rayne and Zander watching the kids tonight?” I rubbed my naked body against my mate, savoring the warmth of his skin against mine. “They don’t have too much on their plate with their own.”
“Sweetie, Simon is three months old, and their triplets are already seven months old. They are pros at this.” Nik nibbled the side of my neck, sending my need skyrocketing. “Besides, my parents are over there helping out.”
“Lead with that next time and I’ll shut up right away.” I captured his mouth in a kiss, my tongue battling for control. I couldn’t get enough of his taste. Coffee and chocolate. “You taste so good.”
“Not as good as you taste, my love.” Nik nipped my bottom lip. “Thank the goddess Hendrix sent more of that tea. If he hadn’t, I swear you’d be knocked up again.”
“I know. I just can’t get enough of that cock of yours. Speaking of which. Fuck me, alpha. I need you now.”
Nik reached around and found my slickened hole, easing a finger in, then two and three. He smiled against my lips. “Did you stretch yourself out for me already?”
“I had to do something while you dropped off the kids. Now fill me and make me walk weird for days.
