“We’re in the right city for that.”
“Hope so. I’m also hoping I can do it online so I can still work and take care of Colt.”
“I bet you can,” I stated and stuck a piece of lobster into my mouth. “Plus, with me taking a break from S&R, I can help.”
“That means you might be with him day and night.”
“Don’t think that will be a problem if that also means I can crawl into bed with his mother each night.” I winked.
“Okay.” She grinned. “I see how your mind’s working.”
“Can you blame me?”
“Nope,” she replied with a pop of the P.
If Colton weren’t still fully awake, I’d have taken her to bed that second. I wanted not only to feel her lips pressed to mine, but also to feel her pussy finally wrapped around my dick as I thrust in and out of her, our frantic passion making the headboard slam against the wall. I didn’t care that Sophia’s bedroom was probably on the other side. Even if she banged on the wall, I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop until Tessa came apart multiple times.
Working for S&R had taught me a few tricks, and I was ready to show Tessa how good I was.
The night went by quickly. Tessa gave Colton a bath and put him to bed, and before I knew it, she was waking me up on the couch.
“Hey, it’s getting late. You should head home.”
I opened my eyes to see her peering down at me. “Kicking me out? I cooked you dinner and fed you cake.”
She grinned. “No, but I’m tired too. Plus, since you’re passed out on my couch, I take it you had a long night last night.”
I sat up and ran my hands down my face. “Not sure. Can’t remember what time I made it home.”
She chuckled. “Even more of a reason to go get a good night’s sleep.”
I wanted to tell her I could do that here, but then I didn’t have clothes for school tomorrow, and I figured it might not be good for Colton to see me in his mother’s bed just yet. I knew he was warming up to me because of his blinking and hums when something I’d say excited him, but it wasn’t the time, especially since Tessa and I had just talked about dating, and I was going to go on a date with someone else on Sunday.
I wasn’t going to sleep with Shelby. Probably wasn’t even going to charge her. But since she had been my longest client, I felt the need to tell her in person. I was also going to refer her to Brad. No way in hell would I put sweet Shelby with Nick. I knew he took care of his women—at least I assumed he did since he was still in the game and getting clients—but Nick was the asshole of our group, plain and simple.
“Will I see you before Saturday?” I asked as I stood to gather my things.
“Tomorrow I’m going dress shopping with Melony. Which reminds me, since you can’t come to the party on Sunday, I’m going to ask her to come with me.”
“Don’t go.”
“I have to go.”
“Why?”
She shrugged. “Because my boss asked me to, and even though I don’t plan on working at RD my entire life, I don’t want to get on his bad side either.”
“He can’t force you to go to a party.” I started to walk toward the door.
“I know that, but it’s better if I go. Then I won’t have to lie to him and shit.”
“You can just tell him you’re busy.”
“Well, he’s paying me to go.”
“What?” I spun around to face her.
“I told him I was taking Saturday off for the wedding and was planning on working Sunday to make up for it. He already gave me money to make up for the time loss.”
