Sadie

Ten years later

The laughter echoes through the meadow, high-pitched and bubbling, as our kids race after each other. The late afternoon sun filters through the trees, casting golden streaks over the wildflowers. It’s peaceful, chaotic, and everything I ever wanted.

“Don’t run too far!” I call out, shading my eyes to watch our youngest, Ethan, toddling determinedly after his older siblings. His little legs move fast, but not fast enough to catch up to Olivia and Caleb, who are already arguing over who gets to climb the tree first.

“Relax, Sadie,” Cole’s deep, steady voice cuts through the breeze.

I turn to see him leaning against the fence, his arms crossed over his broad chest, a lazy grin on his face.

The sight of him still makes my heart race, even after all these years.

He looks just as ruggedly handsome as the day I met him, maybe even more so with a touch of grey streaking his hair and beard. Time has been kind to him. And to us.

I smile back at him, a mix of adoration and disbelief. “You’re too calm for someone who’s been chasing kids all day.”

He pushes off the fence and strolls toward me, his long strides easy and confident. When he reaches me, he wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me close. “That’s because I’ve got you,” he murmurs, his lips brushing my ear. “You keep the chaos in line.”

I laugh softly, leaning into him as his hand slides protectively over my hip. His touch still makes me feel grounded, safe, and wildly loved. I glance down at my own hands, calloused from years of working alongside him, and think about how far we’ve come.

Ten years ago, I never would’ve imagined this life. The city feels like a distant memory, like it belonged to someone else entirely. Back then, I didn’t know what it felt like to be so sure of where I belonged. I didn’t know what it meant to be this happy, this content. This... home.

“Mommy, look!” Olivia calls, waving from the top of the tree. “I’m the queen of the world!”

I laugh and wave back. “Be careful, your highness!”

Cole chuckles beside me, his deep laugh sending warmth all the way through me. “That’s your daughter,” he says, his voice full of pride.

“She’s yours. too,” I tease, nudging him lightly.

“True,” he concedes with a grin. “But you’re the one who made her fearless.”

“And you’re the one who made her stubborn,” I counter, grinning as I watch Caleb argue with Olivia from the ground, hands on his hips like a miniature version of his father.

Ethan stumbles over to us, his little face scrunched in determination. “Daddy! Up!”

Cole leans down, scooping Ethan up into his arms like it’s second nature. “What’s the matter, buddy? Need a lift?”

Ethan giggles, grabbing onto Cole’s beard with his tiny fists. It’s a familiar sight—Cole with a kid in his arms, looking completely at ease. He’s the best father I could have imagined for our children. Patient, strong, and so full of love.

“Did you ever think this would be our life?” I ask softly, watching as Olivia swings from a low branch, her laughter mixing with Caleb’s shouts.

Cole turns to me, his expression serious for a moment. “Honestly? No. I never thought I’d have this. Not until you came along.” His eyes soften, and he presses a kiss to my forehead. “You changed everything, Sadie.”

I swallow the lump in my throat and smile up at him. “You changed me too, Cole.”

The kids come barrelling toward us then, shouting about snacks and ice cream and whose turn it is to ride Clover, the now slightly older but still feisty horse who first made me fall in love with this place. The noise is overwhelming, but it’s ours, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

As we wrangle the kids and head back toward the house, I take a moment to soak it all in.

The sun is dipping lower, casting long shadows across the yard.

The cabin, the barn, the paddock—they’re all worn in now, filled with memories and love.

This place isn’t just where we live; it’s where we’ve built a life, together.

The cabin is finally quiet, the kids asleep after a long day of chaos and laughter.

I sit naked on Cole’s lap by the fire, his strong hands gripping my hips as I straddle him.

His dark eyes burn into mine, and I feel a rush of heat flood through me.

Even after all these years, he looks at me like I’m the only woman in the world.

“You’re so beautiful,” he growls, his voice thick with need.

His cock is already rock hard, pressing against my slick heat.

I don’t waste any time—I guide him inside me, and we both groan as he fills me completely.

I want nothing more than to be pregnant again with his child, so we’ve been at it every night.

I start to move, rocking my hips as his hands squeeze me tighter, urging me faster.

The firelight flickers across his tattooed chest, and I grab his shoulders for balance as I ride him harder.

My tits bounce wildly, and his eyes are glued to them, his groans growing louder with every thrust. “Yes, I love these big titties in my face.” Since having kids and breastfeeding, my tits have grown huge. And Cole loves them even more.

Every time we come together like this, it feels just as consuming as the first time. The way he looks at me—with awe, with devotion—makes me feel like the most cherished woman in the world.

If someone had told me all those years ago that leaving the city would lead me here, I wouldn’t have believed them. But I’ve never been more grateful for the choice I made. I didn’t just find a new life in these mountains; I found the love of my life, my partner, my everything.

His eyes burn into mine, filled with emotion as I rock against him, our breaths mingling in the cool air of our bedroom. “You’re my heart, Sadie,” he murmurs, his voice rough. “I’ll never stop loving you.”

I lean down, kissing him deeply, my hands pressed against his chest. “You saved me,” I whisper. “And you made me whole.”

Our movements grow frantic, desperate, until we both tumble over the edge together, our cries mingling in the quiet night. As I collapse against his chest, his arms wrap around me, holding me close.

This is our life—love, family, and moments like this that remind me just how lucky I am. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Because I have the whole world in Cole .
