“You stole Colton from me! You bitch!” she shrieks.
Oh fuck no, she didn't. She’s the bitch! I respond by pushing her back with a war cry of my own.
Who the fuck does she think she is?
We throw each other back and forth between the hallway walls. I hear Colt yell something, but it’s lost in all our screams and shrieks as we scratch, slap, and pull hair.
“I never stole him from you! You never had him! He pursued me!” I yell back.
“You should have said no!” she screams and hits me in the face, my cheek stinging from the impact. It’s honestly such a pathetic, demeaning fight. My first girl fight, and it’s with my sister.
We’re lost in our assault on each other when we stumble and hit the stairs, the two of us skidding and tumbling down until we hit the main floor.
Both of us are still panting and groaning from the impact we just took when Simone lets out another scream and crawls over me. She straddles me and starts slapping while I try my best to block her.
"I hate you! You can’t handle a man like Colton! You're a pathetic loser! This life will chew you up and spit you out!" she shrieks as she continues to assault me.
“Fuck! Layla!” Colt yells, appearing at the top of the stairs. He runs down two stairs at a time and rips Simone off me, practically throwing her across the living room, where she falls dramatically to the floor.
Colt doesn’t even notice, coming directly to me. He cradles me in his arms, looking over me for injuries. “Are you okay?!” His eyes are wild with concern.
“You go to her? You fucking serious?” Simone screams at him, grimacing in anger.
Seeing I’m okay, Colt looks over at her. “What the fuck, Simone?!” he shouts.
Simone is awkwardly sprawled out on her hands and knees. Red-faced, hair disheveled, and breathing heavily, her tits practically falling out of the black bandeau bra she's wearing for a shirt.
“You’re supposed to be with me! We’re supposed to be together! Not you and some piece of shit nobody!” she shouts.
Tears fill my eyes, and my chest aches. Simone, my older sister, my only friend, hates me because of Colt.
Colton sighs as he continues to hold me. “Simone, despite all your attempts over the years, I never slept with you for a reason. It’s always been Layla for me. And I’d never waste an opportunity to be with her for a one-night stand with you. It’snot my fault you can’t take the hint,” he says coldly. It surprises me to hear that he didn’t sleep with her despite her attempts…because of me.
Holy shit, this guy really is into me!
Chest heaving, she gives me a death glare as she gets up from the floor, lunging at me again. Colt blocks me, shoving Simone away.
“Enough, Simone! Layla’s my girlfriend now. You need to get over this and move on.”
Hurt flashes across her face when he calls me his girlfriend, probably because Colt has never had one and he’s chosen me to be his first.
For once, a guy chose me, not her.
"You have no idea what you've done! You think it's easy living this life, Layla? Just you wait! You’ll both regret this, you...you fucking assholes!” she screams, then stomps upstairs, leaving Colt and I sitting on the floor, trying to understand what the fuck just happened.
Then we hear crunching in the kitchen, and there sit my mom and dad eating cereal, watching this whole debacle go down.
“Oh fuck.” Colt jumps to his feet and helps me up. “Hi Mr. and Mrs. White. I’m Colton Hawthorne, Layla’s boyfriend.” They both just sit there chewing, eyeing him up and down.
Then it dawns on me.
Were they home when he just fucked me loudly against the dresser?
Oh, god.Heat rises from my chest to my cheeks, spreading like wildfire.
“Yeah, we gathered that,” my dad says, continuing to stare a hole through him. But Colt stands confidently. “And it’s Sue and Jim.” He points to my mom, then himself.
“I’m sorry for—” Colt gestures to the floor where everything just happened, but my dad interrupts him.
