Chapter

Ten

Rhy was at his wits’ end with the nigga Chop.

He had made it a point to hit up Ny’s phone when he felt like it.

Even after blocking him several times, he still managed to stalk her, calling private and leaving voicemails.

Rhy wanted him gone like yesterday but apparently time was on Chop’s side.

Chop had yet to pop out, for his own good though, ’cause Rhyot wasn’t letting up.

Days quickly turned into weeks and it seemed like Chop really wised the fuck up and bailed out of town.

His apartment on Barlow sat unoccupied; the chicks he had been fucking with claimed to not have heard from him either, which Rhy was cool with as long as Chop stayed away from his family.

He had no choice but to let Chop come to him.

Rhyot stepped out of his car and jogged across the street.

Tonight he, Nyelle, and Rhyelle decided on Wings the two men didn’t speak a word to one another, each in their own thoughts.

As they pulled into the pier, Chop remained silent for a few beats.

“You know what’s funny?” Chop finally said, his voice cold and cocky. “I should’ve killed your bitch ass a long time ago. Should’ve left you slumped in that sneaker store but I let you go to jail and that still wasn’t enough, huh?”

Rhy didn’t flinch. He wasn’t surprised. He had his suspicions and they were confirmed when they let Rhy see the statements from Chop. Chop talking his shit only solidified what he knew a long time ago. Not only was Chop jealous, he was also a snake.

“You always thought you were smarter than everybody else, huh? Thought you was untouchable. But guess what?”

Rhy sat stone faced, his voice steady. “Nigga, I already know you snitched.”

“And?” Chop chuckled, shrugging like it was nothing. “You think I give a fuck about what you know? I did what I had to do. You were in the way.”

Rhy would never admit it but he was kind of hurt. A nigga he damn near grew up with since they were adolescents had so much venom in his heart for him and he couldn’t understand why.

Chop leaned forward before he whispered with venom, “You should’ve stayed gone.

But now? You wanna play house with my ex bitch?

You should've known they were off limits. And that shit you did by robbing me?!” He barked out a laugh.

“I’m gonna kill her slow, or who knows, I may give her to Riz.

And that little girl? She’s mine, the name don’t mean shit. ”

Rhyot was seeing red. It was one thing to get at him, but his girls were off limits. He wouldn’t let Chop get close enough to touch a hair on either of their heads. He’d lay down his life before that could ever happen.

“You ready to die, nigga? Say a prayer,” Chop whispered as he pressed the gun harder against the back of Rhyot’s head.

When they reached their destination, Chop ordered Rhyot out of the vehicle. Rhy took his sweet ass time. “Nigga, you must really think this shit is a game,” Chop stated, growing angry.

Rhy was now standing. “I do and I need you to kill me and get the shit over with. Stop dragging the shit out, lame ass.”

The sound of Rhy’s phone going off was the quick distraction he needed. As Chop tried to silence the phone, Rhy moved swiftly, knocking Chop on his ass in an attempt to get the gun.

Chop lunged at Rhy’s legs, slamming him onto the ground beneath them.

Rhy grunted in pain but continued to fight, throwing fists and elbows, trying to get to the gun that lay a few feet away from them.

Rhy soon started getting the better of Chop.

It was no easy task fighting Rhy. He was faster, his hits more powerful, and more than anything, he was meticulous in punching Chop in the face and rib cage.

Rhyot took his opportunity as Chop finally gave in and rolled on the ground clutching his sides.

Rhy was quick to grab the cold steel off the ground and scramble to his feet. Once he did, however, he was quick to squeeze the trigger as Chop now stood up and came toward him.

The shot sounded through the night air like a firecracker. Chop let out a scream as he dropped to the ground, clutching his chest, his white shirt quickly turning red. A gurgling sound could be heard as Rhyot walked over to Chop slowly, gun still in hand.

“You should’ve known it was a bad idea to double cross me, but to threaten my family?” Rhy tsked while shaking his head. “You know what’s crazy, at one point I considered you my brother. That's why when they gave me that paperwork it was almost impossible to believe, but you know what?”

Chop groaned, going in and out of consciousness.

Rhyot couldn’t let this nigga walk this earth any longer.

He raised the gun once again and didn’t hesitate to shoot as he thought about his love for Ny and Lil Rhy, the way he’d go to the ends of the earth to ensure their happiness.

Protecting them was his number one priority and he wasn't letting anyone slide who threatened that.
