Chapter twenty-five
Elena Rossi
T houghts of the way Sully has been worshiping my body every chance he gets are what’s getting me through the day.
I’m exhausted a few days after girls night when I drag myself from the gym.
Addy and Kenz walk out with me, barely giving Romeo, my guard, a second glance.
They had questioned me about him at first, but after they became aware of my stalker, they stopped asking. They get it now, I think.
After saying my goodbyes to them and getting into the car, I figure I’ll go visit Sul at the station before going home and getting some sleep. A white envelope catches my eye on my dashboard.
What the hell is that?
Without conscious effort, my shaky hands reach out and grab the note before deciding that I can’t open this alone. I place the envelope in the passenger seat and, as calmly as possible, drive to the station.
I’m trying to take calming breaths the whole way there, but really I’m borderline hyperventilating. I know Sul isn’t on a call because he texts me from the truck every time he goes out. I quickly pull into the parking lot of the station and jump out of my car with the letter clutched in my hand.
I walk on shaky legs into the station, running straight into Elijah. He grabs my arms to steady me, “Woah, are you okay?” When I don’t answer him quickly enough, he guides me into the common room and leads me to a seat.
“Someone grab Lieutenant Byrne!” He yells to no one in particular. His hand slowly comes up, and he presses two fingers to the underside of my wrist. He’s checking my pulse when Sul skids around the corner and rushes over when he sees me.
“Elle? What’s wrong baby?” He kneels down in front of me.
“This was in my car when I left practice.” I hand him the envelope.
Panicked eyes come to mine, “Have you opened it?”
I shake my head. “No. I came straight to you.
“Good. You did good, Elle. Let’s go to my office, and we can open it together.” He stands and stretches his hand out to me.
I take it without hesitation and follow him into his office. Once we’re settled on his bed shoulder to shoulder with our backs against the wall, I hand him the envelope. He opens it and pulls out a small card. I read it to myself as he reads it out loud.
“Don’t think I forgot about you. I’m always watching, little gymnast. YSA” His alarmed expression mimics my own.
Instinctually I start to tremble, but in the next moment I’m wrapped in strong arms. “It’s okay, baby girl.
Everything’s going to be fine.” A knock on his closed door pulls our attention, and then our best friends walk in and crowd the already small area.
It’s barely bigger than a shoebox and now it houses five grown men. Four of whom are professional athletes.
Flynn makes himself comfortable behind Sully's desk, while Dom and Knox lean against either edge, facing us. Xavier takes the ‘guest chair’ that’s in front of Sully's desk and straddles it, sitting backwards and leaning his arms on the back.
“What are you guys doing here?” Sully asks the group but looks to Flynn to answer .
“Steel texted me and said something was up with Elle. So we rolled up.” He shrugs in nonchalance.
Sully nods and passes Xavier the note. We watch as it’s passed to everyone, and as they read it, more tension fills the room.
Deciding to speak up before they all lose their shit, I lift my hand until everyone is looking at me.
“I’m only weeks away from my trials. Before everyone goes into shutdown mode, let’s remember that over half of you are in season, and the ones who aren’t are working or busy.
I’m safe inside the gym. Nothing has happened inside the building, and I cannot stop training now.
You guys know that.” I meet the unpleasant glares of my best friends, but they know as well as I do that they can’t argue with the facts.
“I want two guards. One that will patrol the area, and one who stays with you at all times, unless you’re with one of us.” Sully meets my stare head on, leaving no room for arguments. I mean, I’ll try, but I already know it’s a lost battle.
“I don’t need a guard to follow me around. This is Temple Valley, not Jersey City.” I glare right back at him before turning my stare on the other guys too.
Knox shrugs nonchalantly, “Cool. Yeah, that’s fine. On an unrelated note, I’ve got to make a call to Theo. I’ll be right back.” He stands and fishes his phone out of the pocket of his jeans.
“You wouldn’t.” My voice takes on a dangerous calm.
“Try me. If you won’t let us protect you, then I’ll call Jersey and have this bitch swarmed within the hour. I’m not the one running from my family here.” He gives me a pointed look. He knows that he has me.
“No. You’re just running from a summer fling.” I throw out and when his face turns just a few shades lighter, I know I hit my intended mark. It’s hurtful and mean, but no less than him threatening to get my Papa involved in something that will hurt him.
He nods before pocketing his phone and narrowing his eyes. “Be that as it may. I’m not the one in imminent danger right now. So agree to the guards, or I’ll call your dad.”
“Just take the damn guards, Elle. If not for yourself, then for me so my brothers don’t swarm this town and make me want to go insane.” Sully grumbles.
I sigh, knowing that I’m about to give in. For no other reason than because the fear in Sully’s eyes is my undoing.
“Fine, but I’m going to complain the entire time.” I grumble.
“We wouldn’t expect anything less, Elle.” Dom snickers from his spot behind Flynn.
“Okay, let’s get this figured out.” Xavier claps to get our attention. “I’m tired, and I know I’m not the only one.”
***
Sully’s groan reverberates through his bedroom… our bedroom… while he slides deep inside of me. I can’t hear him, but I can feel the vibrations. I’m completely at his mercy.
My arms are bound to the headboard, and my ankles to the footboard, spread wide.
I’m stretched out just wide enough so all I can do is take what he’s giving me and slightly arch my back.
Not to mention that I’m blindfolded and have earbuds in my ears with my favorite playlist turned up.
I’m nothing but his toy right now, and I’ve never been more turned on .
I don’t know how long I’ve been like this, because this is how I woke up, but he’s made me come four times since waking me up.
He plays my body like he was made to, and I swear he was.
The vibrating from the plug in my ass that he has a remote to, combined with his hard thrusts, has me tipping on the edge yet again.
I know I’m a moaning and begging mess, but I can’t actually hear myself, which is such a weird sensation.
I have no idea what’s coming next which, honestly, is half the fun.
My back arches as much as I can, which admittedly isn’t much.
The next thing I feel is Sully’s thumb and forefinger on each side of my clit just a moment before he pinches hard and throws me off the cliff as I freefall into ecstasy.
I clamp down on his thick cock and can feel the moment he releases deep inside of me.
Maybe I black out, because the next thing I know, Sully’s unhooking me and pulling me into his arms. He wraps me up tight and places his chin on top of my head while my head rests over his heart.
The blindfold is removed right before he pops the earbuds out of my ears, and his soothing voice filters through my ears.
“That’s my girl. You did such a good job, baby girl. I’m so fucking proud of you.” He kisses the side of my head like I’m the most fragile glass. He mumbles sweet words of praise and affirmation into my ear.
We lay in bed and take our time coming down from the intensity of what just happened.
I don’t have to be at the gym today, and he’s off until tomorrow morning.
It’s been a week since the night at the station.
I have two guards, and when Sully’s at work and the others are traveling, they’ll stay at the house too, but they don’t talk much.
I don’t know where they came from or how he found them, but they seem just as legitimate as the guards from where we came from.
When people ask, I just say that we added security with the trials just around the corner.
It’s not abnormal, actually. When you have repeat gymnasts with the medal count that some of us have, bodyguards are just part of the deal.
We can thank Tonya Harding for that. Addy and Kenz have asked about it, but they at least seemed placated by my answer.
I’m pulled out of my thoughts when Sully moves out from under me. I grab for his arm playfully as he laughs. “I’m just going to take a shower. Want to come?” He waggles his eyebrows.
I groan, “Not yet, I’m too sore. Come back to bed.”
“How about this? I’ll go shower and run you a bath.
Then when I’m done I’ll come get you?” He reaches down and gently cups my sore and throbbing pussy.
“You worked so hard for me this morning. Just relax and let me take care of you, baby girl.” He presses a sweet kiss to my lips before winking playfully and sauntering away.
I’m not even embarrassed to say that I watch his naked form until he’s behind the bathroom door. Sue me. The man is sexy.
I get comfortable in bed while I wait for Sully to come get me and grab my phone to check my messages.
I see a few. One from my Papa, a few from the Lucky Ones, and a couple from Kenz and Addy.
Those aren’t the ones that draw my eyes, though.
No, that belongs to the unfamiliar number that has texted me. I furrow my brow and open the message.
Unknown: You can break up with him or I can kill him.
What the hell is this? It can’t be.
Elle: You have the wrong number.
Unknown: That’s impossible, little gymnast. You have five days. Don’t make me make good on my promise .
Acid burns the back of my throat. Just as an image pops up of the two of us sleeping in bed last night.
Whoever took the picture was standing right beside the bed with a gun in hand, pointing directly at Sully.
Tears spring to my eyes as terror grips my chest. He can get in here.
He could have killed him last night if he wanted to.
I can’t let that happen. I will never let that happen.
Now I have to break both of us to keep us both alive.
