Miles hauled air into his lungs. He was going to have to increase his cardio in the gym if he was going to keep having sex like that with Liam. He gently tugged Liam’s pliant body onto his chest, wrapping his arms around the trembling man. The movement caused his almost soft cock to slide from Liam’s body. They hissed in unison at the sensation before Liam sighed deeply, and snuggled his head under Miles’s chin.

Miles held him there, lazily tracing patterns against the heated, sweat-slicked skin of Liam’s back. Their breathing gradually returned to normal. Miles didn’t want to move, but he needed to take care of Liam.

He carefully maneuvered Liam onto his side, hushing him softly as Liam whimpered in protest.

“It’s alright, baby boy. I’m just going to clean us up.”

“Mmkay,” Liam responded sleepily.

Miles took a moment to look at him. For the first time in a long time, there were no traces of stress etched into Liam’s face or body. Dark lashes lay against flushed skin, highlighting the shadows of tiredness that were to be expected after months of touring. Liam’s limbs lay boneless, his spent cock flaccid against his thigh.

Wanting to hold him close and protect him, Miles slipped from the bed and crossed into the bathroom. He removed and disposed of the condom before cleaning himself up. He eyed the dildo Liam had left next to the sink. That had definitely been a hit, and Miles looked forward to using it again with Liam.

After rinsing a cloth through with warm water, he went back to the bed and wiped Liam down, cleaning up the cum from around his cock and balls and the slick of lube from his hole. Miles had a sudden urge to see his cum leaking from Liam’s body, and the revelation of wanted possession and ownership shook him. He’d only ever barebacked with his long-term partner years ago.

After returning the washcloth to the bathroom, he slid back into the bed, drawing the covers over them both as Liam burrowed into his side. Miles wrapped his arms around him, pulling him tight. Liam gave a contented sigh, hooking his thigh over Miles’s as Miles brushed the sweat-dampened curls from Liam’s forehead before pressing a light kiss to the top of his head.

Liam hummed in pleasure, his fingers tightening on Miles’s waist.

“How are you feeling, baby boy?”

“Used, abused, and thoroughly fucked,” Liam murmured back, and Miles could feel a smile against his chest.

“You’re not sore?”

“No more than I should be after a workout like that. I’m glad I don’t have to perform tomorrow. I’d need a stool to sit on because I think my thighs are going to be protesting loudly in the morning.”

“You took my cock magnificently. You should have seen how good you looked,” Miles told him. “Next time, we’ll do it in front of a mirror so you can watch yourself.”

Liam’s breath hitched at that, and Miles smiled. He was quickly learning just what buttons to push, but he needed Liam to be more confident and vocal in asking for what he wanted.

They lay in silence, and Miles took stock of how he was feeling. His own thighs were going to be protesting tomorrow, but it would be a welcome burn. He hadn’t come like that in a long time, not since he and his ex had been together. Liam and Rory were two very different people, with different wants and needs, but both brought out the nurturer and protector in Miles.

Fingertips skating across his rib cage drew him from his thoughts. Liam’s shoulder under his hand was not as relaxed. Something was on Liam’s mind. Should he push, or should he wait and see if Liam would broach the subject on his own?

“Did you know Seth and Cal had gotten married in Vegas?”

The question surprised Miles, but he answered, hoping it would lead to what Liam actually wanted to ask.

“I did. Seth called me just before the ceremony. He made me promise not to tell anyone about it. I had to respect that, just as I respect any request made by any of you. As long as it doesn’t affect the band or my company, then I will keep all your confidences.”

Liam hummed but didn’t say anything else.

“How do you feel about Seth getting married and not telling you?”

Liam huffed out a sigh. “Pissed. I know he’ll have a good reason why, and I have to trust that. I just hope it lasts. Cal is too nice a guy to be fucked around by Seth.”

“True, but don’t forget, Cal is Sarge’s cousin, and, by marriage, also related to Jax. I think Seth values his life too much to risk crossing either of them.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Liam said with a chuckle, but then was silent again. “They certainly seem happy together, if that kiss was anything to go by.”

“I’ve never seen Seth look at anyone the way he looks at Cal, and even though they are very much in the honeymoon stage, I think their feelings are very genuine.”

“Miles?” The question in Liam’s voice had Miles paying attention.

“Yes, baby boy?”

“Why haven’t you kissed me?”

Miles stiffened in surprise, something Liam noticed because he went to roll away. Miles stopped him, gripping him tightly.

“It’s okay if you don’t want to, or tell me why. I know a lot of people don’t like to kiss their hook ups. Makes it too personal.”

Miles didn’t know how to respond. He wasn’t sure himself why he hadn’t kissed Liam. He wanted to, but their encounters had generally been brief and rushed, and kissing implied a level of intimacy that Miles wasn’t sure he was ready to admit to.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything,” Liam said, pulling out of Miles’s arms.

Miles let him roll to his back before raising up on an elbow and caging Liam below him. Dark brown eyes stared up at him, a small furrow marring Liam’s brow. Miles used his thumb to smooth it away.

“Firstly, you are not a hook up. I don’t know why we haven’t kissed,” he admitted. “It’s certainly not because I don’t want to. Your mouth was made for kissing.” He stroked his thumb over the full lower lip. “So soft and full. Would you like me to kiss you now?”

Liam’s hand cupped Miles’s jaw. “I honestly only realized that we hadn’t kissed when I saw Seth and Cal. I want you to kiss me, Miles.”

Miles dipped his head, pausing for a micro-second before capturing Liam’s full lower lip between his own. He took his time, not wanting to rush this. Liam’s arms wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him closer as he opened his mouth to accept Miles’s tongue. Miles slid on top of Liam, legs tangling as they settled against each other.

The kiss was languorous and sensual. Neither of them rushed to deepen it. Miles could taste the faint hint of the toothpaste Liam had used earlier, and he wondered how he’d taste after blowing Miles. Something else to add to the growing list of things he wanted to do with this man.

Miles slowed the kiss, easing back with a few soft pecks. Staring down at the man beneath him, eyes dark with desire, lips puffy from kissing, and skin flushed, he realized he’d never seen a sight so beautiful, and it was one he wanted to see often.

Liam groaned as the muscles in his thighs and lower back protested while he snuggled his face deeper into the pillow. The slight stab in his ass also made him wince. Well, he’d gotten what he needed. What he’d asked for, and it had been better than he’d ever had before, even from Javier. The rustling of the sheets behind him had him turning his head to see Miles studying him.

“Good morning,” Miles said, slipping a hand beneath the sheet to run down Liam’s back to rest on his buttock. “Sore?”

“Achy. Feels like I’ve run a marathon in boots.”

The grin he got for that statement made him smile back. “How about I run you a bath, and you can soak for a while?”

“Do we have time?” He propped himself on his elbows and tried to see the hotel alarm clock.

“We do. I’m not due at the office for another few hours, and now you’re off Larkspur duties for a few months.”

His heart dipped in disappointment. He’d hoped to spend the day in bed with Miles, doing more of what they’d done last night. The itch to have sex to get rid of his stress had been replaced with a want and desire to explore this arrangement further.

“What’s wrong, Liam?”

“Nothing. I’d thought we’d spend the day together, that’s all.”

Miles leaned over and pressed a kiss to his mouth. Liam chased him as he pulled away, only to be stopped by a shake of Miles’s head.

“I’d love nothing more, baby boy. But I have a company to run, and my most successful clients have just finished a record-breaking tour. There’s a mountain of paperwork and figures for me to go through.”

“Will I see you tonight?”

“I want to say yes, but realistically, I don’t think so. And in the morning, I’ll be heading to New York on an early flight to meet with Jerry. I’ll be away for a week and will be back in time for your tour debrief meeting.”

The feeling of satisfaction evaporated from Liam like water under the desert sun. Rationally, he’d known that Miles would not be around, but he’d thought that now he wasn’t on tour, they’d be able to spend more time together.

“Baby boy, I know you’re disappointed, and you’re feeling hurt, aren’t you?” Miles asked perceptively.

“Yeah. Sorry. I know I shouldn’t feel like this. It’s just that—”

Liam found himself crowded back onto the mattress, the warm weight of Miles’s body pressing into his. Unconsciously, Liam arched up, body seeking friction. Miles’s mouth pressed on to his for a too-short second.

“Lie still. I need you to listen to me.”

Liam stilled, but not before hooking an ankle over Miles’s calf, the movement making their groins nestle together. He met Miles’s raised eyebrow with a smirk.

“Brat,” Miles said, amusement in his eyes. “I’m just as disappointed as you. Last night…last night was something special. I haven’t had sex like that in years. Baby boy, there are so many things I want to do with you, but real life is calling. I’d like to invite you to come with me to New York, but you’ll be too much of a distraction.”

“Will you have time to video chat?” Liam asked hopefully.

“Not every night, but we can figure something out. It’s only a week, Liam. You can continue to practice your meditation, and when I get back, I’ll be due for a long weekend, and we can head to my beach house. Just the two of us.”

Liam smiled at him. “I like the sound of that.” He rolled his hips, his cock thickening against Miles’s thigh. “Can you help me with this before you go?”

“Hmm, do I want to go through my day with the taste of you on my tongue?” A wicked grin that Liam had never seen before graced Miles’s face before he slid under the sheet. All other thoughts soon disappeared from Liam’s mind as his cock was enveloped in the warm heat of Miles’s mouth.
