Hunter

She’s in her room now.

Door locked. Lights off.

I should go back to sleep, but I can’t.

Not after the way she looked at me.

She was still wearing my hoodie.

She didn’t take it off.

Somehow, that matters more than it should.

She’s fighting harder than she realises.

And she has no idea how much I see.

How much I feel.

I shouldn’t want her like this.

Not when I’m the one who—no.

Not tonight.

I sit in the dark a while longer.

Count the doors. Count the seconds.

Count the ways I could ruin her.
