“Here?” he asked, driving into that same spot with such insane precision it felt unreal.

“Yes—God, yes!”

His thrusts became more deliberate, aimed to hit that perfect angle. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his jaw clenched.

“You’re taking me so well,” he praised, his voice strained. “So fucking perfect.”

The pressure inside me built like a storm—hot, electric. Every thrust of his hips hit deeper, harder, sharper, grinding against that perfect spot until I was gasping, clawing at his back, the edge looming closer with every ragged breath.

My thighs tightened around his waist. I couldn’t stop the sounds spilling from me—broken, breathless little whimpers that only made him pound harder.

He watched me like he needed it—my unraveling, my pleasure. His hair was damp, jaw clenched, eyes locked on mine like he could drag the orgasm out of me with just that gaze alone.

Then— God.

His hand slid between us, fingers finding my clit, circling slow at first—taunting me, teasing me—then faster, tighter, more relentless, until my body was arching into his touch like I couldn’t stand being apart from it.

“Come for me again,” he growled, voice rough and low, lips brushing my cheek as he leaned over. “I want to feel you lose it around my cock.”

A strangled moan ripped from my throat.

He didn’t stop. He thrust deep and slow, hand working me in perfect rhythm, every nerve firing, every inch of me caught in the rising wave.

“You’re close,” he murmured, forehead pressed to mine, breath hot and ragged. “I can feel it.”

“Fuck—Federico—please—”

“Let go,” he whispered. “I’ve got you.”

And then he changed his angle, hips rolling harder, deeper, the pressure against my clit unrelenting, until the tension snapped like a live wire.

I shattered.

The orgasm tore through me with brutal force, my cry caught in my throat as my body locked around him. Wave after wave crashed, rolling through my spine, my limbs, my core—until he crushed his mouth to mine, swallowing the broken sound of my release like he needed to taste it.

I clenched around him, pulsing tight, dragging a low curse from his chest as he held still inside me, jaw clenched tight.

Then—with a groan—he thrust and buried himself to the hilt before spilling inside me, his release hot and deep, his body trembling as he came with me.

He didn’t pull away.

Didn’t speak.

Just stayed there, forehead against mine, breathing me in like I was the only air left in the room.

And I clung to him, boneless and ruined, knowing I’ve never had and never will have sex like this with another man.

Slowly, reality began to creep back in—the sound of voices from the main floor, the uncomfortable press of the desk edge against my back.

Federico pulled back slightly, his expression softer than I’d ever seen it. He brushed a strand of hair from my face, his touch unexpectedly tender.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“I’m fine,” I whispered, smiling at him. He cupped my cheek, pulled away, and then collected my clothes, handing them back to me.

“Well,” I said softly as I got dressed. “So much for being professional.”

Federico laughed. “I think we just redefined workplace relations.”

And then he pulled me in for one more kiss.

The next morning, I found myself smiling into my coffee cup as Federico entered the kitchen. He was already dressed for work in a crisp suit that made me think decidedly unprofessional thoughts.

“Morning,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of intimacy that hadn’t been there before yesterday.

“Morning,” I replied, feeling my cheeks warm at the memories flooding back.

He poured himself coffee, leaned against the counter, and studied me over the rim of his cup. “Coming to the casino today?”

I tried to keep it casual, not wanting to let my plans be known. “I’ll be in a little later. I have some things to take care of first.”

He shrugged and smiled. “I’ll see you there, then.”

After he left, I called Megan, needing to hear her voice. I was happy, and I missed her.

“Hey, sis!” she answered, sounding happier than she had in months. “Perfect timing—I just aced my biochem exam!”

“That’s amazing!” I felt a rush of pride. “I knew you would.”

We chatted about her classes, her friends, and the research project she was excited about. For once, I didn’t feel worried. Megan was thriving. My debts were paid. And all of it was because of Federico.

Federico was becoming something I hadn’t expected.

After hanging up, I packed a picnic basket with Federico’s favorites—some sourdough, a selection of cheeses, sandwiches, and cut fruit, along with those little Italian cookies he thought I wouldn’t notice him sneaking.

I wanted to surprise him, to thank him in some small way for everything he’d done for us.

When I arrived at the casino, I was practically bouncing with excitement. The security guards knew me by now, nodding me through without question.

As I approached Federico’s office, I heard raised voices from inside.

“We need more money,” a stranger bellowed. “What you gave us wasn’t half of what we deserved.”

“I paid fair and square,” Federico insisted.

I slowed my steps, not wanting to interrupt what sounded like a tense business discussion. But then I caught a glimpse through the glass door, and my blood froze.

Sitting across from Federico was a face I knew all too well. One I dreaded. One of the loan sharks who had threatened Megan before our marriage. Igor Petrov.

The same man who had once cornered me outside my apartment and detailed exactly what would happen if I didn’t pay up.

I ducked behind a column, heart hammering. What was he doing here? Meeting with Federico?

“...not what we agreed on,” the man’s voice carried through the door. “YOU SAID fifty grand to orchestrate the scheme, but said we would discuss it after.”

Scheme? What the hell were they talking about?

“You should have said so before you did your part. The fifty stands,” Federico replied coolly.

“The scheme worked perfectly,” the man argued. “You got what you wanted, didn’t you? The girl married you without a second thought.”

My stomach dropped.

“You’re going too far,” Federico’s voice hardened.

I pressed a hand to my mouth, bile rising in my throat.

They had orchestrated something. The threats. The stolen five grand from Megan’s dorm room. Marrying me?

Could it be that it had all been planned?

By the man I’d just made love to yesterday.

The man I was starting to trust.

I ducked away from the door, hiding around the corner as. I needed to hear more, but the loan shark stormed out, walking right past me without noticing.

Federico Lebedev had played me from the very beginning.

With shaking hands, I stormed into his office. Threw open the door.

“Autumn?” Federico turned, looking pale when he saw the anger in my face.

I threw the picnic basket on the ground. Stormed right up to him. “What the hell was he talking about?”
