T he streak of moonlight lingered over the teal sign of the ‘Potions and Magic Infusions’ shop as the light inside was muffed.

The lid of the pot with steaming green fumes closed, leaving a faded thread above.

The day passed quickly, to Violette's surprise. She was wiping the counter when the air infused with the strange familiar feeling that she was being watched.

She could feel someone’s presence in the store aside from her. And though her eyes didn't catch who, her heart knew. Something unnatural and unwelcome here, something totally dark. Something she already met before. The vampire.
