Chapter 3
Willow
Iopen my eyes. The room is spinning, and everything is shifting in and out of focus. My head. Fuck… my head’s on fire. When I raise my hand to rest it on my throbbing temple, I bring with it a massive fucking kitchen knife.
Dripping with blood.
No longer am I in my room, but in the kitchen. The white marble countertops are smeared with red. The floor is coated in it. And by my feet is one of the security guards who ensures I stay where I should. His shirt is soaked with blood and covered in gashes.
I look at the knife in my hand. Back to the body. The knife. The body.
‘Oh… shit…’ I whisper, dropping the knife. I stagger back, and of course, I slip in the blood. My legs fly into the air, and my ass hits the floor. Followed swiftly by my head.
Thump, and again, the world is spinning.
Yeah, I’m not doing too great at this escaping shit.
I lie flat on my back and look up at the ceiling, knowing my legs are currently in a pool of someone's blood and I’m the one who killed him.
Focus, I tell myself as I watch a spider make its web by the light. Think.
What the hell is happening?!
I was in my room. The guys left. The dream… I remember the dream.
The nightmare. The voice.
My eyes widen, and everything shifts quickly back into focus.
The deal.
I sit, my brain protesting the speed.
I set them free. The demons that serve the Brotherhood. Three demons.
I made a fucking deal.
Oh fuck… I suddenly burn hot with embarrassment.
Did I let one of them fuck me?
Canyou be fucked by smoke?
I raise a brow as I consider it. I definitely feltsomething.
Can you focus?
I yelp, hearing the voice, and look all around the room, but see no one. And certainly no demons.
Should I expect to see three giant red monsters with horns and cloven feet?
What do demons even look like?
Are they smoke like I see in my dreams?
Was that even a dream?
I’m out of my room and the cuffs, aren’t I?
