KORRATH
“Well, here we go, my lovely one. Are you ready for our moon of sweetness?” Korath asked, smiling at Miranda . She was sitting in the passenger seat next to him, a look of anticipation on her beautiful face.
“It’s ‘honeymoon’ and I can’t wait!” She flashed him a brilliant smile as she stared out the viewscreen at the red gash in space the Monstrum Mother Ship had made for them, which would take them to Soloth Three .
Of course, it wasn’t safe for a pregnant woman to fold space but an early detection pregnancy test had revealed that Miranda was not pregnant, despite all the time they’d spent locked together in the past month with his knot buried in her sweet little pussy.
Her Second Heat was no longer a health concern, but she still felt the hunger to have him filling her—which Korrath loved.
Only three weeks after their first meeting in the Hilton ballroom, they had been married—just because Korrath wanted to claim his lovely Mature Elite legally in the human way.
Miranda had wanted a small private ceremony, attended by just her daughter and sister, and Korrath had called a few of his warrior friends to come as well.
They had held the wedding on the Monstrum Mother Ship so that it was possible for Thryxis to be there.
The spider-tailor was one of the Monstrum considered too frightening to come to Earth , and he mostly stayed on the Dark Side of the ship, though he had come to the Light Side for the ceremony.
He had woven Miranda a gorgeous wedding gown and had even made gowns for her daughter and sister as well.
Korrath had thought it was interesting to see how well his friend was regarded by the human women.
Once they got over their initial fear of him, his charm and good manners had completely won them over.
Miranda’s older sister, Susan , was especially taken with him, and Korrath had an idea that he had liked her as well.
He wondered if maybe his good friend might have a chance to claim his own Mature Elite sometime in the future.
After the wedding, he had moved in with Miranda and she had decided to take time off from teaching—something that was made possible by the fact that the Monstrum Mother Ship produced plenty of precious metals and gems, which could be sold and converted to Earth currency.
Korrath had taken a share of this wealth and converted it.
Then he had deposited it into his new bride’s bank account and surprised her with it.
He still loved remembering her expression when she’d seen the amount.
“Oh my God , Korrath !” she’d exclaimed. “ That’s enough money to retire early!”
“Then why don’t you, my lovely one?” he had purred, stroking her cheek. “ Why go back to work when we could spend time together instead?”
“I admit that teaching has gotten to be kind of a grind these last few years, but…what would I do?” she asked, frowning. “ I mean, I can’t just sit around the house all day—no matter how rich I am now.”
“Let’s go exploring together,” Korrath had suggested.
“What…you mean travel the world?” Her gray eyes began to shine. “ I’ve always wanted to see Paris !”
“Think bigger,” he told her. “ Why don’t we explore your whole universe?”
Miranda had looked at him with wide eyes.
“The whole universe? That actually sounds kind of amazing.”
“It will be,” he had assured her. “ We will see things together—travel to exotic locations and make memories. We will make love in a thousand exotic locations.” He stroked her cheek again. “ Why don’t we have some fun?”
“I would love that,” she admitted. “ I wasted years of my life with Martin , and he never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. I feel like I’m getting a do-over now.” She looked into his eyes. “ I’m the luckiest woman alive.”
“It is I who am lucky, my lovely one,” Korrath told her. “ To have finally found you and Claimed you as my own.”
Miranda had laughed.
“No, I’m the lucky one—you literally made me thirty years younger and now you’re offering me the universe on a silver platter! Nobody can top that.”
“And what do you say to my idea—that we travel and tour distant planets?” Korrath asked her.
“I say yes!” She smiled up at him, excitement sparkling in her lovely eyes. “ Let’s travel to exotic places and have some fun!”
And so here they were now, about to visit the very first world on their itinerary.
There were many planets that the Kindred recommended as good places for a Warrior to take his bride, and Soloth Three was one of them.
It was a tropical paradise and the native inhabitants were mild-mannered and easy-going bipeds who lived off the mildly alcoholic fruit of the Jub -jub trees, which grew almost everywhere.
Korath was excited to go there, and he knew Miranda was too.
He envisioned the two of them walking on the sandy pink beaches under the light of the planet’s twin moons, drinking refreshing tropical drinks, and making love long into the night.
It was going to be a perfect way to start their grand adventure together.
He smiled at his new bride and took a firmer grip on the steering yoke as he piloted into the fold in space. The two of them were going to spend the rest of their lives together, and he thanked the Goddess every day that he had been able to find and Claim his lovely Mature Elite .
