Page 8 of Paper and Passion (Ghostlight Falls #2)
Adrian
T he moment Tillie relaxes, Alex spins around and takes out my cock, a hand around the base and her mouth around the tip. It only takes two fucking strokes and one long suck before I’m shooting down my wife’s throat like a horny teen with no experience and zero control.
My gaze meets Tillie’s as I come. When I gasp her name, her eyes widen and she tries to wiggle backwards, but I’ve still got my hands on her hips. She’s not going anywhere.
Alex was right. She’s the one. But she seems a little skittish, and that has me worried.
I don’t think she’s bothered by our appearance or the fact that humans have considered us monsters throughout most of their history—in fact, I’m inclined to think she likes that.
Which is surprising. We’ve only ever had people react negatively to our true appearance.
Then again, we’ve never been open about what we are right from the start of a relationship before.
Whatever’s got Tillie scooting away is something more than just fear of our differences. There was something in the way she worried about my relationship with Alex that makes me think this dynamic triggers something in her past. I just don’t know what.
I want to dig into it and learn everything about her, but she’s so blissed out right now, I don’t want to ruin that.
Opting to wait, I look down at my beautiful wife.
She laps up the last of my release, then smiles up at me.
I’ll never get tired of seeing her like this, on her knees, lips swollen, eyes shining.
“I knew you’d like her.” She tucks my spent cock back in my pants and zips me up. “Can we keep her?”
“You know that’s up to her, right?” I answer with a slight laugh.
Tillie’s cheeks turn an adorable pink. She squirms, pointing to her shirt on the floor. “I should… um…”
Alex stands up between us and gives Tillie a brief kiss on the lips. “Let us clean you up.”
I step back, then reach around to the side of the copy machine and pick up the three pages of colored copies. “Mind if I keep these?”
Tillie fidgets like she’s embarrassed, but nods.
“Good.” I trace the outline of her ass on the page. The perfect keepsake from our first time with our soon-to-be mate. I fold the papers and put them in my back pocket.
From the other room, a bell rings.
“Oh, shit!” Tillie pushes against Alex, and this time we let her, both taking a step back.
“What time is it?” She scrambles to stand up, but stumbles, making me smirk. She’s adorable. And completely worn out after our escapades.
“Here.” I pick up her shirt. “Arms up.”
She obeys beautifully, and I slip the fabric over her, tugging it down to cover her full breasts. I don’t bother putting her bra back on her.
“Tillie?” Someone calls from the other room.
“Be right out!” Tillie yells. “Stay there! I’ll just be a minute. I need…” She makes a frustrated noise as she searches the floor. “Where’s my underwear?”
Alex’s smirk makes me think she probably pocketed them. I don’t call her out though, because I like the idea of having something of Tillie’s with us.
“You don’t need them, sweetheart.” I hold out her jeans.
“I was supposed to be showing Olivia and Arnold Jr the new wedding invitations this afternoon.” Tillie puts her hands on my shoulders for support and lets me help her into her pants, one luscious leg at a time. I try not to get distracted by the brush of her smooth skin against my knuckles.
“She made an appointment,” Tilly continues to ramble. “And instead of being ready for it, I’m… shit! I don’t even know where the invitations are. I still haven’t found them.”
“We’ll help you look,” I say, hoping some of my calm will steady her.
She looks up with a tentative smile. “Are you sure?”
“There’s nothing we’d like more than to help you.” Cupping her face, I kiss her, but keep it brief.
“Besides, I’m your employee now,” Alex says. “This is exactly what you pay me for.” She takes Tillie’s hair out of her ponytail and combs her fingers through it.
“I haven’t paid you anything yet.” Tillie’s laugh is a little shaky. “And I don’t think orgasms were in the job description.”
Alex finishes redoing Tillie’s ponytail. “No, those were just for fun.”
We both step back and look at our human mate.
She’s still a little disheveled, but we’ve done a pretty good job putting her straight.
Hopefully, whoever is waiting for her is human, because she’ll reek of sex to any creature with a decent nose, and I don’t like the idea of someone else smelling my mate’s pleasure.
“Gorgeous,” Alex says. “Now, be a good girl and go help your customer. We’ll bring the wedding invitations out as soon as we find them. It won’t be long.”
The moment Tillie’s out of the room, Alex throws herself on me, kissing me so hard I can barely breathe.
“She’s ours,” she gasps when she comes up for air. “You feel it, don’t you?”
“Yes.” I draw back so I can look at her. “This time, I really think you’re right. But…”
There’s still so much we haven’t told Tillie, so much that could scare her away.
“No buts.” Alex steps back. “Help me find those invitations so we can support our girl.”
She’s already opening the boxes on the table, digging through each one .
“How will we know what they look like?” I ask.
“I guess just look for pretty papers and elegant scripts?” Alex shrugs.
I pull boxes from the shelves and search them one at a time.
“Do you remember our wedding?” I ask, thinking back to the day I made Alex mine. We were both already living among humans, so we had a human wedding before we had the bonding ceremony just the two of us.
Alex throws me a quick smile. “Are you thinking of the wedding or the wedding night?”
“Both,” I answer. “It was the best day of my life.”
The wedding was small, just the two of us, two friends, and a minister. We did it on the cliffs overlooking the sea—our other home. It was simple, but beautiful. I’ll never forget the way Alex looked at me as she took my hand and we exchanged rings in the human tradition.
“Get ready to have another great day.” Her gaze flicks to the door Tillie left through. “I can’t wait to bond her.”
The ceremony for bonding a human is different. It won’t be like Alex and my wedding night. I’ve never seen it, or done it before, but I know innately what needs to happen, and just thinking about it makes me hard.
The same is true for Alex. I can feel her arousal grow through our bond, scent her sweet pleasure in the air.
“Come here.” I pull her into me. “I love you. You know that, right?”
“Of course I do,” she says, all fiery confidence. “I’m not the insecure type.”
“I know.” I shake my head, unsure where I’m going with this. “It’s just, we don’t really know what it’ll be like having a human mate.”
We’ve shared men and women before, but this is entirely different. This woman might become our mate. Bound to us for life. Already I feel as drawn to Tillie as I do to Alex. It’s different, but it’s so similar to what I felt when I first met Alex that it scares me.
“We’re good, Adrian.” Her voice is softer as she gently strokes the smaller tentacles at the base of my neck.
“You didn’t finish,” I whisper.
“Is that what this is about? Do you think I care? I was more than happy to enjoy your pleasure and hers.” Alex looks right into my eyes, her own dilated and dark. “Relationships are about equity, not reciprocity.”
“I know.” My tentacles lift, and I flatten a hand over them. “Balancing things will just take some getting used to.”
“There’s nothing to balance. No accounts to keep. Just an equal give and take, the same as we have now.” She wraps her tentacles around mine, twinning us together. Her smirk is all heat and mischief. “If you want, I’ll let you finger me in the car on the way back to the hotel.”
“Yes, please.” Seas, I love having my fingers inside her.
“I love you.” She kisses me. Once. Twice. “You love me.” Another quick kiss. “And we’re gonna love the hell out of her.”
“If she’ll let us.” Maybe that’s what really worries me. That she might not want this once she knows exactly what we’re asking of her. She seemed to like my dirty talk about knocking her up, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be into the reality.
“Don’t worry, baby.” Alex kisses my nose. “Just find those invitations.”
“Already did.” I wave a hand at a box on the bottom shelf.
“I knew I loved you.” She grins and pats my chest. “Now, let’s get these to our girl.”
