He drops his bag and pulls me in for an embrace, “I’m so sorry. I know this isn’t how you wanted this to go.”
He’s right. I wanted to do this on my own, but someone took that from me. I’m being made a mockery for the whole world to laugh at.
I don’t care about what they’re saying about me, but they’re dragging him through it as well. Alright, I do care about the things said about me, and I’m angry someone violated my right to come out when I wanted to.
He leads us to the couch, “I didn’t do this.” I nod in agreement, “I didn’t think you did.” He freezes for a moment and then run a hand down his face, “I think your ex did this.”
He thinks Poppy did this?
He continues, “she basically asked if I was fucking you. I denied it, but she wasn’t happy with that.”
I start pacing again until he pulls me down next to him, “I will have my lawyer draft a cease and desist up. And I will have someone watch her at all times just in case. You didn’t deserve this.”
I relax a little bit, but I’m still fuming.
He shrugs off his jacket, “I know what will relax you.”
He starts stripping my clothes off and then pushes me back on the couch. I need this, he needs this. He pushes my legs up and with one quick movement he slams into me. I cry out but it’s a good hurt. Leaning my leg on his shoulder he strokes my cock, “you’re mine. I will always take care of you.”
I believe him. I let go of all my anger, just being here with him in the moment.
“Fuck me harder,” I groan, and he obliges. Our grunts and moans filling the air as I come all over his hand. He jerks a little and then stills. I can feel him filling me up. When he pulls out, he collapses next to me, stroking my arm, “feel better?”
Sitting up, “I do. Will you come to dinner with me and the guys?” I sound like a lost boy asking, but I need him.
He nods, “let’s get you cleaned up. I can have them put us at a private table.”
“Thank you,” I say as we head for the shower and another round before, we’re ready to head down.

Chapter 31
Raine
Ican’t believe Poppy would do this to him. If she wants him back, she should know this isn’t going to help her case.
He seems a little bit more relaxed when we head down to dinner, but we do keep our distance. He is making a big move today and I don’t want to make it worse for him.
No one says anything as we walk through the restaurant to our table, which seems to help. He nods at other players, and they wave back, so he’s good so far.
Tyler, Dade, Jester and Coach are sitting, waiting on him, on us.
We order drinks, and while the waitress is getting them, Dasher just spill everything. How I made the first move, but he likes what we do, and we haven’t put a label on it. He’s worried it will be bad for the league and the team. He tells them he didn’ttell them because he wanted to do it on his own terms, but today things escalated.
Hart is the first one to speak, “I told you earlier that nothing will happen to you while I’m coach. We have your back. In case you didn’t know, Raine is a stockholder, so technically an owner. That might raise some heads, but I’m sure he’s got it covered. And most of Vegas knows his preferences.” He blushes at that last sentence. Why? Because at one point, we were sleeping together along with a woman. They wanted to just be a couple, and I moved on. We’re still good friends.
I shrug, “I don’t blast all of that, but I don’t lie about it either.”
Hart chuckles, “Rena still misses you sometimes.”
And everyone at the table collectively, “ooooh.”
Tyler gets us back on track, “I’m pissy you didn’t tell me, but why the fuck should the world care if you’re gay or straight or bi. If you’re happy, then I’m happy. Raine, can my kids come use your pool? Dash told us about it.”
I snort, “anytime, just let me know.” Tyler grins and settles back. The waitress brings our drinks and then takes our orders.
Dade speaks up, “I’m cool with it. From what I heard in passing, the guys don’t care.”
