Tears were blurring my vision again, only this time it was sorrow for the grief I’d unnecessarily caused him. The emotion was quickly replaced with gratitude for how he took care of me like no one ever had before.
How he never would have let me go.
“You are mine,” he continued, picking up the pace until I could barely hear him over the sound of our skin slapping through our suits—of his hand spanking me raw. “You are mine because you deserve to be mine. You deserve everything I have to give you. And if you ever feel like youdon’t,you need totellme, so I can remind you why you do.”
“Yes, Daddy,” I sobbed, nearly overwhelmed by the sensations coursing through me—his thick cock stretching me, the burn on my ass from his palm, his hand holding my waist so tightly, reminding me I washis.
Everything I was experiencing converged into one tangled mess of emotions, only to have his love instantly smooth it all away. “I deserve you,” I gasped. “I deserve everything you give me.”
From the moment Xander walked through the diner door, I’d sensedhow inextricably connected we were—felt it in the depths of my soul. Discovering we were fated to be together simply made the last puzzle piece snap into place of what I already knew to be true.
He’s my home.
Xander curled himself over me, grinding slow and deep as he emptied himself with a moan. The feel of his dick pulsing inside me had me coming again, leaving a puddle beneath me I immediately collapsed into.
I really do like playing superheroes….
Gently lifting my head, myinventuscaptured my lips with a lazy kiss that I devoured in return. “I love you, baby. You’ll always be mine, no matter what.”
Always.
CHAPTER40
XANDER
I set down my phone on the examination table, staunchly ignoring the twenty texts Kai replied with when all I asked for was an update on Meowson.
After fucking Butch until he passed out on my cot again, I’d spent the morning ordering everything we needed to hole up here for a while.
Including a bigger bed.
I was fairly certain my lair hadn’t been compromised. At least, I hoped that was true. My mother was especially impatient when it came to revenge. It stood to reason she would have shown up by now to turn us into ice sculptures if she knew where we were.
And if my father had pinpointed our location—through the same creepy mind-meld powers he used to learn about my ray gun—I had to assume he was still too incapacitated to spill the intel.
Fuck, I hope he’s still frozen…
The idea of Apocalypto Man on our trail caused icy dread to pool in my gut, never mind Glacial Girl and the rest of my siblings. On top of the threat of my immediate family was the vast network of villains—and unsavory normies—the Suarez clan had aligned with over the years.
The more I thought about howaloneButch and I were in this fucked up situation, the more anxious I became.
I need to keep it together for his sake.
As if on cue, a still sleepy and still so fuckable-looking hero appeared beside me, his stealth-to-size ratio reminding me yet again how ridiculous it was that I ever believed he was a normie.
“Good morning… or, afternoon…” he mumbled, sweetly kissing me on the cheek before squinting at the heavily tinted, earthquake proof windows facing the Bay.
He tossed his phone on the table next to mine. “Dead,” he stated. “Not that I want to see who’s been trying to get a hold of me, but I should probably charge it.”
I gestured toward my charging station and may have watched him walk away with way more supervision than was necessary
That. Ass.
When he turned and caught me staring, I smirked, unable to resist. “It looks like your suit survived being turned into a glory hole, hmm?”
This comment made him enticingly blush, and for a moment, my anxiety switched gears to worrying about whether he’d ever get so desensitized to my bullshit that he stopped looking so pink and pretty.
I’ll just have to find new ways to shock him.
