She was going to get it the same way her darling husband had gotten where he was in life now.
By outsmarting everyone around her.
Alejandro cupped her chin. His hand was rough. An oil burn welted on one knuckle. “Make him come to you.”
Lila smirked slowly and brushed her lips against Alejandro’s cheek. “Of course, apuesto. You are right. And I just have one favor to ask...”
She leaned down and whispered into his ear, as if it was no more than sweet nothings between lovers. As if she hadn’t just come up with a plan for the world to burn.
He was right, after all. About more things than he realized. The way to get through to her husband and resurrect the famous Lila Logan was the same.
All she needed was a touch of fire.

Partial Nude of Lila Logan Leaked
A leaked photograph has scandalized and intrigued fans ofReina Gold Is Lyingstar Lila Logan Cameron.
Lila Logan, 44, is pictured with her chest exposed with her wedding dress undone and bunched up around her waist, a cigarette in hand, and hair styled like Elizabeth Taylor. Clearly, this was a posed shot meant for, er, personal friends.Notthe internet. But whatever. Who doesn’t want to get more use out of their wedding dress? Specifically Logan’s, which cost upward of FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. Or, so sorry, euros.(The designer’s French.)
You may have noticed the window just behind Lila giving a nice view of the Malibu skyline as well as a blurred reflection of her photographer. Who is not her husband, Francis Cameron. After a flurried attempt online to identify the man (alleged to be anyone from Pedro Pascal to John Leguizamo), another fan account has posted a far juicier tidbit of information: the original photograph was leaked from an IP address in Logan’s own home.
So the culprit is either a jealous husband, jilted lover, tech-savvy preteen, OR, far more likely, Lila has invoked the time-honored commandment that there’s no such thing as bad press, and she has taken it upon herself to manufacture her very own scandal.
Chapter 27
Jerry Baugh
Jerry crumpled his fifth can of beer and tossed it toward the trash bag on the floor. He missed.
“Nice one,” Madden said from her place slouched in a mountain of cushions.
Lainey, who was lying on the floor with her feet on the wall, chuckled and hiccupped. The Old Eileenroiled beneath them, but the screaming wind didn’t seem to bother any of them anymore.
Jerry looked around for more beer. They’d been trapped in the salon for hours, drinking and watching television. Now the hurricane was picking up speed, and he wondered how he had spent all those storms alone inSheila 2.0’s minuscule cabin.
A sound like a whip cracked outside the porthole, and Jerry flinched. Madden raised her head to look through the boards.
“What’s the damage?” Jerry asked, words running together.
“Dock line down,” Madden asserted. “Should we fix it?”
Jerry thought about one of them going out on the dock right now. The wind would slam them into a tree or worse, fling them into the raging water. Better to lay low.
“Eh,” he said and turned up the TV. They had surfed all thechannels, and nothing good was playing. They were lucky the TV was still running at all.
Lainey watched him. “You good, man?”
Jerry humphed and broke open his sixth beer. He was buzzed for sure, but it didn’t feel like enough.
Lainey let her feet fall to the floor. “You just seem on edge.”
Jerry opened his mouth to deny it, but a roll of thunder sent him to his feet. The Old Eileenrocked unsteadily under him.
“No, no. Just, well, maybe this wasn’t such a good plan. Being in here.” He threw away the crushed can on the floor to make it seem like getting up had been his idea.
“Why not?” Madden played with the lip of her empty gin bottle.
