As expected, she ignored me in favor of food.
“You make beautiful babies, omega-ours,” Roland said, perching himself on the side of my hospital bed.
I nodded. Both our babies were perfect. “You mean we. These babies wouldn’t be here without all of you.”
There was a knock at the door and a nurse walked in. “Good afternoon Dads. We’re working on getting the live birth paperwork completed, but we need to know who to put in the section for the alpha fathers.”
She paused. “Given there are four of you… and only two babies… Do you want paternity tests?”
My mates glanced between each other, then each shook their heads.
“We’re fine with not knowing,” Shane stated.
“Ok,” the nurse appeared unsure. “But I can only list one name per certificate.”
“Put our names in a hat and draw two?” Derrick suggested.
The rest of them nodded, and she turned to me.
I laughed. “That works for me. Luck of the draw this time.”
“Ok, then,” the nurse replied with an uncertain tone. “I guess that’ll work.”
She left and Ellie seemed to fall asleep a few seconds later.
“Gimme,” Vince said, holding out his arms.
I handed our daughter over, and smiled as he cradled her, bouncing ever so gently.
My mates and our babies.
No matter where we were, as long as I was with them, I’d be home.
