Page 71 of My Treasured Obsession
He wrapped his arms around my body and we continued exchanging wet kisses. My fingers trickled over the skin of his muscular back, massaging him. I’d never felt smaller or so protected from the harms of the outside world. Resting in his strong embrace came with the sensation of invincibility, like nothing could ever come close to hurting me. Not if I had him by my side.
“Since I was a good girl, can I have my reward now?” I asked as he planted small kisses all over my face in adoration, breaking another one of my walls. “Please, Hunter. I want to touch you too.”
“Gabby, I need you to know that while I’m grateful the night led us here, I didn’t bring you here with any ulterior motive. I just wanted to make you happy with something you never had before.” He kissed my cheek. “I don’t want you to feel obligated to give me anything because I gave you something.”
I smiled, knowing that was the absolute truth. He was just that kind of person. He’d give but rarely take anything in return. That’s why I needed to do this. “I know, but let me anyway?”
“Whenever you smile at me like that…there’s nothing I wouldn’t give you,” he said, taking my hands and putting them over his bulge. “Go ahead. Touch me, sweetheart. I’m all yours.”
I’m all yours. I’m all yours. I’m all yours.
I loved hearing those words from him. The serene atmosphere rang with notes of eagerness as my fingers undid his belt buckle.
“You should know.” He grunted a little when my hand dipped under the waistband of his black briefs. “I’ve imagined this moment a hundred times in my mind, but nothing comes close to—fuck—baby, you’re going to kill me.”
My fingers had closed around his long, thick, and pulsing cock. Eyes wide and lips parted, I stared at him in shock. I knew it was going to be big.
Just notthisbig.
Holy shit. Sex with this man would be phenomenal once I adjusted to his size.
A bead of pre-cum was gathered over his flared head and my thumb swiped over it, watching his eyes roll back into his skull from my touch. “My God, Hunter. You’re huge—”
Suddenly, a feminine shriek boomed through the air, cutting off my words and causing us both to flinch. “Get away from her, you asshole!”
Then another one chimed in, “We have a taser!”
Next thing I knew, a bejewelled pink bag smacked Hunter’s head and he groaned in pain, falling on top of me, while I let loose a bloodcurdling scream.
CHAPTER 17
Just Friends
Gabriela
Iwanted to crawl six feet beneath the ground and never return to the land of the living.
Currently, we were inside Hunter’s home, gathered on the ground floor, where the kitchen, dining, and living room were amassed together in a beautiful open concept. I barely had the chance to admire the rustic décor accented with gorgeous hues of browns, greens, and golds because I was too focused on the four unwelcomed guests watching Hunter and me with hawk eyes.
Embarrassment pinkened my cheeks. Mustering a mild glare, I cleared my throat with intention. They had the decency to avert their gazes and pretend like the ceiling and floor were more interesting than anything else happening in this moment.
“Does it hurt?” I whispered to Hunter, dabbing the cold compress against his bruising temple as I stood between the parted V of his legs.
He was sitting on a kitchen bar stool, his hand resting on the small of my back.
“I’m okay, sweetheart,” he replied.
Thesweethearthad Layla and Anna gasping in unison.
Josh and Sam—a really good friend of the boys’ and another player on the football team—didn’t attempt to hide their shit-eating grins.
I groaned internally.
Josh was the first to break the awkward silence, combing frustrated fingers through his dark hair. “If your little stunt”—he aimed narrowed eyes at Layla and Anna—“costs us the championship trophy, I’m never forgiving you girls.”
Both my best friends broke out into rambling explanations slash apologies.
Long story short, Layla and Anna finally arrived at MacGregor after I left. Oscar came up to them, freaking out and saying that I’d disappeared into thin air. The girls panicked, thinking the same intruder who broke into my place had kidnapped me. Because I always shared my location with them, they decided to track me down in an attempt to save me. They texted Josh about the situation, who just happened to arrive at the bar with Sam. Then all four of them, alongside Oscar, decided to hop on a rescue mission like my personal brigade.
