Page 74 of My Orc Billionaire

I had two families now.

Me.

I’d gone from having no one—except perhaps Sylvik, who kept my life in line—to having two families. My orc family, who had welcomed me to Eastshore Isle, although it had taken me a bit too long to figure that out. And my human family, who didn’t see my scars as something to be feared…

It was truly remarkable.

“What are you thinking?” I murmured to Riven.

“That I can’t wait for New Year’s to come to get this over with.” She sent me a mischievous grin. “Then I can start the year with a claim on you.”

“You already have a claim on me, Mate.” I bent closer to her and lowered my voice. “Forever.”

Using her hold on my hand, she brought my fingers to her lips, kissing the knuckles one by one. “I love you, Abydos.”

“Good.” I turned my head slightly so my tusk scraped gently down her temple, causing her to shudder. “Because I love you, my Mate.”
