They did not ask if there was a problem, instead, they obeyed the command instantly. "Yes, Alpha King." He heard three deep voices answer at the same time.

"Tell the others. They should not fight, this is my battle. They should all take cover. I will not like it if any of you get hurt."

"But, Alpha King," A tiger sentinel protested then, "Let us help—"

"No. Do as I say." Wolfaraine cut him off.

Meanwhile, Adams, the leader of the team of Wolf Hunters that came for the attack watched him from far away with binoculars.

He was baffled, wondering why the werewolf leader was just standing in the middle of his compound, murmuring to himself.

Well, these animals cannot get any more surprising. Adam hated them with all his might. He cannot wait to capture the leader.

It is still dark as it is the wee hours of the morning, but they can see perfectly in the dark because of the contact lens they have on which improves night vision.

Raising his hand, he gave the signal to attack.

When the first arrow came, Wolfaraine stretched out his hands in quick reflexes and caught the arrow. Just as fast, he threw it back to the exact direction it came from with striking accuracy.

A male shout rose in the night, and he heard the hard thud of a body falling .

But, that was barely the beginning. Arrows flew from all around towards him.

He made a half-shift then, talking the form of the wolf no matter how much the mountain lion roared in protest. He has no intention of letting these killers know of that part of him.

With fast reflexes, he caught every one of those arrows and threw them back where they came from. He ran around the mansion, changing directions which in turn, led them and their arrows around.

They must be out of arrows or they decided to try another method, because gunshots rang out. They were shooting at him.

So, he took off towards the woods as he caught bullets with his hands and threw them right back. He was not running away, instead, he hunted them. Like an enraged predator.

As he caught bullets, he found them one after another, and killed them swiftly. Mostly, he snapped their neck, yanking it out of their shoulders. Some, he threw away, while some, he plucked out their eyes, threw them into his mouth, and let the wolf chew on them.

The fight went on and on and on.

He killed them with the rage of three beings. Mortal, cougar, and wolf were enraged. They wanted blood and revenge. Hate for these people rode them.

Then, a bullet hit his leg.

The first he'd taken or at least, the first he was aware he'd taken.

The bullet brought him to his knee and pain shot through his leg all over his body. The wolf thundered in pain and the mountain lion roared too .

He would have thought it was poison if he did not know better. If he did not know it to be something worse.

Rhodium. These bullets are made of rhodium.

Only rhodium can affect him this much, this quick.

Not letting himself dwell on it, he dug his hand into his leg, swallowing down the pain as he dug the bullet out, while still catching other bullets with his free hand and throwing them back. Growling in pain and rage, he rose to his feet and threw the bloody bullet back.

His hands are all bloody from catching these bullets and they hurt, but he did not care.

The fight lasted for a long while. Adam stood with his binoculars in awe and rage. And fear.

He never believed what the others said about the werewolf leader being so strong, powerful and so invincible that nothing can touch him. He never believed when his fellow hunters even proceeded to call him a god.

What he was seeing was too much for his eyes, for his binoculars. He had underestimated this animal.

The werewolf leader fought relentlessly. Never weakening. Killing his men with one hand and catching bullets made with rhodium using the other hand. All alone.

Shit. Almost all the wolf hunters he came with have died.

"Cover me. I will get him myself!!" He shouted at the remaining wolf hunters, grabbing two machine guns at the same time.

Adam began firing shots after shots as he ran towards the werewolf leader. He was firing from behind .

Yet, the werewolf leader caught them all. With a loud roar, he turned and faced the direction those shots were coming from.

But, another bullet stuck the same wounded leg again. He roared in sheer discomfort. Instead of removing it, he began running in the direction of those bullets.

He and the hunters met in the middle of the woods, and the fight continued.

One, he tore his head from his shoulder.

Another one, he kicked down and stomped hard on his chest. Satisfaction courses through him as he heard the sound of bones shattering and blood gushing out from all parts of him.

He killed three others in the same way. And two more.

The last Wolfhunter remaining, had terror blanketing his eyes. Eyes that were smug all through the night was suddenly filled with so much terror. Adam can practically see his death coming.

But then again, Wolfaraine always leaves a messenger behind, who will deliver his messages.

So, he grabbed hold of the last man's arms and yanked them out of their sockets. They dangled in his hands, while the man fell down and roared in sheer agony.

Then, he shifted back to his full mortal form. Bent down and looked at the last man.

"Go back and tell your cohorts to avoid me and my people." The words came out in a deadly calm growl. "Tell them that I will come for you all one day. And I will destroy every last one of you. "

With that, he turned and in that slow, steady, and regal steps of his, he walked back to his house, leaving a hundred trail of dead wolf hunters behind him.
