Page 30 of Loving Roman (The Summer Twins #3)

Roman reaches across the console, takes my hand, and guides it to his thigh, holding it in place until he’s certain I won’t pull away. I sigh with contentment, roll my head toward him without lifting it from the seat, and smile. “Our honeymoon was amazing, but I’m sad we only had a weekend together this time.”

He rubs his thumb back and forth across my wedding band. He hasn’t stopped looking at the diamond-studded ring he placed on my finger on Friday afternoon. Each time he does, he gets this look on his face that I can’t quite decipher—something between pride and contentment; I think. He kisses my wedding ring, caressing it with his lips, as he keeps his eyes on the road. “I’m sorry it couldn’t be longer.”
