Page 37 of Layla's Daddy
Those days are over. Now I regularly get my butt spanked by myownDaddy, and I don’t even have to misbehave to get my fix. I can just ask for it.
Daddy and Noah exchange a look and smirk before he hauls me backward with a tug on my leash. He leans over me andkisses the top of my head. “You’ll stay within two feet of me at all times unless you want to feel the tug on this harness all day.”
I tip my head back and give him a slow smile. “Challenge accepted.”
Chapter Seventeen
Littleworld was the most fun I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Before I met Daddy, I never thought I would have a chance in my entire life to go on a vacation like this. My entire world was just working, paying bills, and eating poorly.
Now I’m healthier than ever because Daddy makes sure I get proper nutrition every day. He rarely even lets me have treats, though today he did buy me a blue lollipop at the park. It was so yummy.
I sleep great because my bed is always warm and comfortable. I sleep even better now that Daddy holds me in his arms all night. I don’t have to worry about bills or rent. I spend my days focused on what classes I might like to register for at the local community college.
We’ve checked into our cabin, and Daddy unpacked while I ran around investigating how cute the cabin is. But now Daddy has corralled me, swept me off my feet, and carried me to the huge rocking chair in the nursery.
“Time to wind down, Baby girl. You need a bottle and a bath, and then it’s nighttime.”
I lean back in his arms, still breathing heavily from all my excitement.
For long moments, Daddy simply stares at me. He strokes loose hairs from my forehead and trails his finger down my arm.
I sober and hold his gaze.
“You’ve changed my life, Layla. I love you.”
“You’ve changed mine, too, Daddy. I love you more.”
He smiles warmly and continues to stare at me. “I’m afraid to blink. What if you’re not real and I never ran into you on the street that day?”
I return his smile. “I’ve wondered that a million times. I have to pinch myself to be sure I’m not dreaming.”
He lifts me up higher so he can bring his lips to mine. His kiss is gentle and filled with love. It’s tender, and he takes his time.
I’m glad because I want to remember this moment for the rest of my life. I’m one very lucky Little girl. The luckiest Little girl ever.
