“What are you doing?” he asked with impatience and curiosity.
“Preparing to feed you.”
Those werehiswords in Dalhousie. He’d said the same thing whenhehad blindfoldedher. That night had spiralled quickly into something wild and unforgettable, something he desperately craved for again.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Kushal leaned forward, elbows resting on his thighs, legs spread wide in that commanding ease that never left him even when blindfolded.
His chest rose and fell faster now, trying tofeelher presence…listening for the soft rustle of silk, inhaling the faint trace of her perfume that clung to the air.
“I’m waiting,” he murmured, with warning and promise all at once.
Somewhere in that darkness, she smiled. Because this time, she wasn’t just going to feed him any dessert. She was going to feed himNutella.
The same sinful jar that had once started a fight and ended a night, in Dalhousie. Back then, at the resort’s honeymoon game, Kushal had been blindfolded and failed to guess it. They’d lost. She’d sulked. He’d teased. And later in their room, when she dared him to blindfold her instead, the challenge had melted into a heated, breathless make-out session neither ever forgot.
Tonight, she wanted to bring that memory back to life.
Kushal sat on the edge of the bed, blindfolded, his head tilting slightly as if tracking her by sound alone. When she stepped closer, his face nearly reached her waist, his breath grazing the silk of her saree. He moved his hands up instinctively, wanting to find her, touch her, but she stepped back. “No touching.”
He groaned at her command. “You can’t stop me from touching you, Aru. Come here.”
Despite that warning tone, she moved closer again, letting him win just this much. His hands immediately found her waist, strong fingers curling against her skin, anchoring her there.
“I’m going to feed you now,” she said softly, using the same words he’d once said to her in Dalhousie.
He stilled. Then he felt something cool graze his lip, probably the faint brush of a spoon, and before he could taste it, she pulled it away.
His jaw clenched.
“Easy,” she murmured. “You’ll get it.”
Those were again the same words. The same tone he had used in Dalhousie. So that was her game, he thought! It was deliberate, and he knew it.
“You’re seducing me, Aru…” he rasped.
Arundhati bit her tongue, knowing he caught her. Yes, she was seducing him.
“If you don’t like it,” she countered softly, “I won’t.”
She began to pull back, but he caught her by the waist again, firmer this time, and tilted his chin up. Even with the blindfold on, the grin on his face told her everything.
“Feed me,” he said.
She hesitated only a second before bringing the spoon to his lips again. He tasted the Nutella and smiled like he’d just uncovered her secret. But he didn’t say it yet.
“Whatever this is,” he said slowly, savouring it, “it’s definitely my second favourite.”
Her breath caught for a second before he leaned in slightly, his nose almost brushing her belly button as he whispered.
“My favourite,” he whispered, “is something I’m still waiting to taste again.”
Her heart tripped, her pulse roared in her ears.
He didn’t need to see her face to know she was blushing. Arundhati composed herself. “Any guesses what it was?”
He knew it. Of course he did. But instead of saying it, he decided to twist the game his way. His lips curved in a wicked smile.
“The spoon didn’t do it justice,” he replied huskily. “Do one thing… dip your finger in it and feed me.”
