“Of course, Sable. Anything for you. Always,” he says gently, pulling me into him for a kiss. Then, without any hesitation, he grabs Taron by the back of the neck and drags him in. I watch as my alpha sinks his teeth into my other alphas neck, just below the brambles of his tattoo, starting our pack bond.
Taron winces slightly from the pain, before being released. Taron has to accept the bond in his heart and soul, at least that’s how I’ve always heard it described, and when their scents combine I know it’s working. He returns the favor by turning his head and biting into the firm muscle of Colter’s shoulder. The big guy grunts in satisfaction as they lean back from each other.
Rhian’s next, already climbing across us and leaping into Colter’s arms. I giggle as I watch the alpha tilt Rhian’s head to the side, brushing gentle kisses along his soft unblemished skin, and much more softly than he did with Taron, sink his teeth into his neck.
Rhian moans, his apple cider scent spiking in the air as it mixes with the alphas. He turns his head to the side and places his own bite up high on Colter's neck, just below his ear. The deep groans and shaking in his arms gives away how much the bonds are affecting him.
Taron reaches for the omega as he’s released, marking him just below Colter’s bite, before soothing the bites with licks and kisses. Rhian tugs the alpha’s hair, bringing him in to mark Taron on the opposite side from Colter’s bite, making the alpha grunt.
When Colter turns to me, I grin. The heady mix of their scents as the bonds settle has slick pooling between my legs.
“How does it feel?” I ask, knowing he can feel the other two through the bond now.
“Fucking incredible, but there’s one very important piece missing, Angel.” Colter takes my hand in his, and pulls me into his arms. I straddle his legs, wrapping my hands around his neck, moaning when he caresses my back. “You ready, Sable?”
“Yes, alpha. Mark me. Make me pack.” I nod, tilting my head to the side in a show of submission and acceptance.
“Mate,” he growls as he leans in, and bites. I gasp, moaning as the bond explodes through me, settling in my soul like the missing piece I never knew was incomplete.
Once I close my mouth over the pulse at the base of his throat, my teeth sink in and the world explodes in brilliant color. One by one I mark Taron and then Rhian as well, feeling their bonds sink into my bones.
My heart has never been so full. I can feel each of my men through the bond, and my eyes water as joy so big and bright lights me up from the inside.
“I love you,” I say to them, hoping they know I mean forever.
Maybe I didn’t need to leave this small town to get my happily ever after, but if I never left, would things have ended up like this? I don’t think they would.
Sable
“Hey Grams,” I whisper, swiping the tears from my eyes. “I’m sorry I haven’t visited again sooner. Maybe I was avoiding the pain, just a little.” I chuckle, as I kneel by her grave, reachingout to place the bundle of roses and lavender against her granite headstone.
…So very loved
The cursive script is the only line on her stone besides her name and time on this earth.
She is laid to rest in the cemetery just outside of town. The stone pathways and English cottage landscaping give a sense of peace that would comfort those seeking to visit loved ones. I can’t help but think she’d appreciate the gothic touches of the place in the black iron tipped lanterns and gates.
A few feet from Grams lays a similar headstone, where my mama rests.
I have no memories of my mother. There was always just Grams. But I place a bundle of matching flowers that Colter hands me on her gravestone as well.
I haven’t been here in a while, but it feels good to be here now.
“You always knew the magic of this town would bring me back. That love would find a way. I hope when the wind carries these words to you, you know we're okay. That I’m okay. I found my place. Thank you for loving me and teaching me to dance even when no one else was. I love you, to the moon and back.”
Something settles in my soul as I stand up, the breeze carries through the trees. I swear for a moment I hear her light chuckle before my pack mates step forward and hold me close.
“Come, Little Ghost.” Taron’s hand is gentle as he leads me from the graveyard.
Rhian and Colter follow behind, reminding me that the path that got us here was worth it. That love will always fill your world with magic.
The End
