Page 17 of Killer (The Skulls #5)

Nine months later

Killer stared out over the garden watching as Kelsey continued to pull the weeds out of the vegetable patch she insisted on.

He looked at the ring on his finger and couldn’t stop smiling.

They had been married three months ago in church.

Tate had organized a white wedding with all the right decorations that any woman would wish for.

For their honeymoon he took Kelsey to Vegas where they spent all their time in the hotel room, making love, fucking, and being together.

He’d finally gotten the chance to feel her naked heat around his shaft.

The psychiatrist had discharged her, happy that she was no longer going to try to hurt herself.

He had no doubt about their feelings.

Tiny and Eva’s wedding present to them had been this house.

The modest three bedroom detached house was a dream.

Killer didn’t know if he could handle living in a house paid for by his club leader.

The moment Kelsey saw the place and seeing her love for it, Killer knew he’d learn to accept the gift.

Watching her body wrapped in a sweater and jeans, he got rock hard.

It was spring, and the weather was all over the place.

She looked up, smiling at him and waving back at him.

They were due at Tiny’s place for their usual Sunday lunch.

Eva was cooking a large feast for all of them.

He scented the casserole in the oven that Kelsey was taking.

All of the women always brought their own choice of dish.

Eva would be swamped with leftovers for the club.

Heading outside to their garden, he helped her up, removing the gloves on her hands to reveal the gold ring he bought her.

Throughout the week she still worked as a dental nurse, and the weekends were theirs.

“How is our vegetable patch coming?” he asked.

“It’s early, but I reckon we could get some great produce this year.”

She went on her toes, claiming his lips.

“How is my husband today?”

The smile on her face was infectious.

“Feeling satisfied.”

He drew her closer to him, rubbing his cock against her stomach.

“What about my wife?”

“Aching in all the good ways.”

Kelsey had stuck to his rules. Whenever she needed him, she sought him out for him to take care of her needs. He would never forget the way she’d walked into the clubhouse one Friday night and sat on his lap. She straddled his cock, leaned forward and whispered against his ear, telling him everything that was wrong with her body. He took the whole night trying to give her everything she needed.

“Baby, you keep talking like that and we’re not going to leave this house for a good long time.”

She rubbed his cock making him moan.

“Why do we have to leave?”

she asked.

He was tempted to cancel, but he knew how much Eva worked for them.

“When we get home, I’ll fuck you until you’re screaming my name. I promise.”

They walked into their home, laughing. He waited for her to grab the casserole from the oven and cover it. Killer took the car as he had nowhere to put the casserole on his bike. Kelsey hummed beside him, looking out of the window.

In the last nine months Kelsey had gotten her divorce, married Killer, and was no longer connected to Michael Granito in any way. The old ladies had taken her under their wing, drawing her back into club business. He loved seeing her at all the barbeques relaxing with all The Skulls.

On the other hand, Michael was working with the law in trying to break the trafficking pool. Alex at all club meetings kept them informed of his whereabouts. Eva’s father, Ned, also kept an eye on him. The leader of the fighters made sure his daughter was protected at every turn.

Arriving at Eva’s house, Killer cut the engine smiling at all the bikes in the driveway.

“Wow, it’s going to be a full house today,”

Kelsey said.

“Yeah, Sunday lunch always is.”

He placed a hand on her back, walking with her to the front door. They walked straight inside without even bothering to knock. The commotion hit them right in the face. Tate passed them, smiling and taking Kelsey’s hand.

“Stealing your woman.”

Before he got a chance to say anything to her, Killer was left alone. The table was laid for all of them. He saw Eva and Sophia working the kitchen, getting everything ready. Heading outside he found the rest of the men, smoking, talking, and drinking.

Shaking hands with most of them, he headed toward Tiny, Lash, Nash, and Murphy. Zero stood with them as well, but the other brother looked troubled.

“Where’s Kelsey?”

Zero asked.

“Tate stole her. I swear if Tate had a dick I’d worry to never get my wife back,”

Killer said, joking.

“My woman doesn’t have a problem with dick.”

Tiny lashed out, which Murphy ducked, laughing.

“Sorry, man, I keep forgetting.”

“Let’s not talk about my daughter and her habits behind closed doors. I don’t need to know what she gets up to.”

Lighting up a cigarette, Killer blew the smoke up to the sky. He listened to the men talk all around him. Killer was content to simply be part of it all.

“Any news on Mason Terry?”

Nash asked.

Mason Terry had been the man to take out one of the guys hurting Kelsey.

“Yeah, he doesn’t’ want to come to Fort Wills. He likes his own life in Paradise Rocks, but if we ever need him again, he’s more than happy to help.”

Killer made a note to call the other man to thank him once again.

No amount of thanks would ever make up for Kelsey’s life. She meant the world to him, and he made sure everyone knew it.

“Dinner!”

Eva yelled out of the back door for them all to hear. He stayed back, waiting for the other men to charge forward.

“Anyone would think they’ve not been fed,”

Zero said.

“They probably haven’t.”

Killer made his way inside and saw Kelsey already sat at the table.

He kissed Kelsey’s head as he pulled out his chair to sit. Sitting beside her he saw Tate and Murphy were opposite them. Dinner started, and dishes and plates were handed around. He made sure to fill his own plate along with Kelsey’s.

“Make sure you fill her plate up,”

Tate said, speaking up.

The whole table went silent.

“What?”

he asked, looking from Kelsey to Tate.

“Nothing. She means nothing,”

Kelsey said, glaring at Tate.

Eva was chuckling along with Tiny. What joke wasn’t he getting?

“You’re going to have to tell him.”

“You did this on purpose!”

Kelsey turned to him. He saw she forced a smile.

“Is something wrong? Are you ill?”

he asked, panicking.

“No, I’m not ill, but I’m going to be sick in the mornings for some time.”

“What?”

He was missing something.

“I’m pregnant, Killer. We’re going to have a little boy or girl. A baby.”

“Pregnant?”

“Yes, I was going to tell you when I was sure.”

She shot an accusatory glare at Tate.

“However, someone took that away from me.”

“How sure can you get with a pregnancy test kit? You’ve taken one, and you just wanted to confirm with a doctor,”

Tate asked.

Sinking to his knees, he pulled out her chair, resting a palm to her stomach.

“We’re going to have a baby?”

“Yes, are you happy?”

Pulling her to her feet, Killer cupped her face.

The entire room blew up in applause, whistles, and joy.

He was going to be a father.

Fear, happiness, excitement, nervousness, all of those feelings washed over him, but not once did he regret getting her pregnant. His wife was pregnant with his child.

Sitting down to dinner, he got slapped on the back and cheers from all the men while the women congratulated Kelsey.

A family.

They were going to be a big happy family.

Shit, what was he going to do when it came to her giving birth?

He recalled Tiny’s reaction to Eva.

Fuck, he wasn’t going to be able to handle it.

Kelsey squeezed his hand, and he calmed.

Whatever happened, they’d get through it together.

****

Kelsey squealed as the moment they entered their home, Killer picked her up and carried her upstairs. From the moment Tate had spilled the beans, he’d been so attentive. Killer was always attentive, but something felt different. His touch to her stomach was tender. The love shining from his eyes made her heart stop.

“We’re going to be parents,”

he said, crouching down in front of her.

“Are you sure you’re happy with the news?”

she asked, biting her lip and feeling nervous.

“Baby, I can’t begin to describe how you make me feel.”

He tilted her head back, kissing her lips.

Moaning, she opened up for his invasion, loving the way he deepened the kiss.

They fought each other to remove their clothes. In no time at all they were naked, and Killer held her to the bed, stopping her from moving anywhere but where he wanted her.

“You’re mine, Kels.”

“I’ve always been yours,”

she said, moaning. His lips captured one of her nipples, sucking on the tip hard.

Heat filled her pussy, and the need to come swamped her. Killer slid inside her without a condom. They’d been making love for a long time without any protection. She hadn’t given contraception a thought.

They were going to have a family all of their own.

He held her hands beside her head, staring down at her. She gazed into his eyes never wanting to be anywhere but with him.

“You’ve made me one of the happiest men in the world,”

he said, pulling out only to press back inside her.

She cried out, feeling him hit her deep inside. Thrusting up, she met him with every stroke. He pounded inside her, drawing two orgasms from her before he finally joined her into bliss.

He collapsed over her, panting for breath. Kelsey didn’t want him to move, but after a few seconds he pulled away, to cup her cheek. The intensity of his gaze made her heart race.

“I’m the luckiest man in the world.”

“I’m not the only woman who can get pregnant,”

she said, smiling.

“Not talking about the baby. I love you. The baby is just a bonus, but you, you’re the one who makes me the luckiest man in the world.”

His words took her by surprise. Her only response was to grab his face and kiss the life out of him. Kelsey was the lucky woman. Not many women could have a man willing to leave their club behind to keep her safe.

Eight months later, Kelsey smiled as Killer looked down at the son she had given birth to. Now they were a complete family.

The love she saw on his face was similar to the love shining in his eyes whenever he looked at her.
