His mom is going to kill me. If you find this diary in a box in an attic someday but can’t find me it’s because G’s mom buried me in their backyard. Dude, she’s really pissed he wants to spend the summer with my family and she doesn’t even know the half of it. She still thinks we’re just best friends and I’m keeping him from doing the summer genius camp that will get him into some elite college.
But that’s not what he wants. I sat on him for an hour last night and tickled him to make sure he was being honest. Of course, that ended up with us having killer sex and not really finishing the conversation, but we’ve talked so much I know he’s been honest with me.
He wants to be his own boss and not just to be able to help keep our unique little family under wraps. He’s great with his hands (not talking about sex, get your mind out of the gutter) and he likes making his own decisions. That’s what his mother seems to be forgetting.
She relaxed some when he said he was thinking about going to school for architecture so he could design the houses I’m going to build. I think it’s just practical so we don’t have to farm that part out to someone else. But he looks so hot in a tool belt that I hope he’s not just wearing suits when we find you.
Diary Entry #8
The rest of the family love him. I was a little worried because he comes off a bit quiet and broody (is that a word?) sometimes. But he’s really relaxed and is actually sharing how he feels and what he’s worried about with my grandparents and my uncles. It turns out his biggest fear isn’t that we won’t figure out the career stuff or even that we won’t find you.
He’s scared that I won’t be able to handle not getting to hold your hand in public or telling people you’re mine. But I’ve been thinking about this since I was a kid and first realized that everyone’s family wasn’t like ours. I know he loves me and I know we’re going to love each other so much we’ll make all our friends jealous. I don’t need to tell some asshole at the grocery store you belong to me. I just need you to know that you’ll always be important to me whether I can say it out loud or not. We’re going to love you so much it drives you crazy. I can’t wait to find you.
