“Ah, even with my parents, they were always having loud parties. Between the guests, the children, and the pets… It was a lot all the time. Are you from around here? Reid Dear bought me fourteen years ago, but nowhere near here. Not that I’m complaining. I love my life.” Her smile was bright, and I couldn’t help but return it.
“Fourteen years, and you’re still happy?” I asked, bringing my legs up to my chest and wrapping my arms around them. My smile fell, followed by Piper’s. I knew she could see some part of my past flashing through my eyes, so I averted my gaze the moment I noticed.
“Yes, I am. Very much so actually. I’ve bore him five children: two Alphas, two Betas, and an
Omega. They will all be placed with kind people, and I trust him with my life. From what I’ve seen, I know the same is true for your mistress…” Piper sighed, then leaned over, trying to catch my eye. “But she isn’t your first, is she?”
I shook my head. “But I hope she’s my last,” I whispered.
“I hope so too.” Piper looked up at Reid with so much love, and it pained me, knowing so many people were far luckier than I was. I was happy for them, but I also knew I’d trade places with them in a heartbeat if I could go back in time.
Piper and I spoke for a few more minutes, chatting about our clothes and hobbies. I didn’t have much to add to the conversation, but she gave me some ideas and suggested we get together sometime to do them. They had a large pool if nothing else. I didn’t want to swim in the one here. Who knew what was in it, but a more private one that was cleaned before? I would love that.
Mistress Belle and Piper’s master agreed to a get-together, and although I couldn’t have children, I enjoyed being around them at times. Seeing Piper with her children would either be a lovely sight or cause me unbearable pain.
I made a note to ask Mistress Belle and Elera about it. How they coped with not being what society demanded they be, Mistress Belle especially. What did people think about an infertile Alpha buying an infertile Omega? I supposed that was a fair pairing, ensuring no one got trapped with a defective person, but did they whisper about how horrid it was that we existed in the first place?
I didn’t want to believe it. No matter what Oros had claimed. Mistress Belle was anything but defective or useless, and she didn’t seem to think I was either. It was difficult to shut off his voice inside my head, but it helped having Mistress Belle beside me with her voice much closer and clearer than his.
In time, maybe I would mend completely.
“The rooms are open to all! Please have fun, and if you break something, give your check to William,” Catalina announced to the room before sauntering off toward the pool with Layne following behind her.
“I will have Simon get in touch with your assistant, Reid. I am sure we can find a time to let our pets have a little freedom.” Mistress Belle stood and moved around the chair before grabbing our chains. “Have a lovely evening. I know we will.” After we stood, she walked off in the opposite direction of the pool with us beside her. “I think it’s time we found Perrin. I don’t want to stay too late, and the noise is already starting to give me a headache. I need a little fun to distract me.”
I held my breath, then let it out quietly, hoping neither of them noticed I was panicking. Nothing was happening to me tonight. Elera promised this was fun for her, and they both claimed that Perrin was kind.
I could handle this. I wouldn’t freak out. I wouldn’t panic. I would get through this and be the good Omega I knew I could be for Mistress Belle.
It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s all fine.
We walked up the steps leading to the second story, then walked by a multitude of rooms with people already in them in various states of undress, and well, some were already going at it very heavily. I blushed and cringed, never having truly enjoyed anything that Oros or the others had done to me.
I wanted to do things with Mistress Belle and Elera. I wanted them to do thingstome, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t scared. The idea of it terrified me, so I hoped tonight went well and I somehow moved past it and got more comfortable with them.
Finally, Mistress Belle stepped into one that was empty, pulling us inside. It was smaller than Elera’s room but was filled with the usual: a large bed covered in thick blankets, nightstands, a closet, and a bathroom. The coloring was like the rest of the house, but the hues leaned a little darker than the pastels and creams elsewhere. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say it was a typical bedroom, not one meant for party-goers to have sex in.
“Hazelle, my pet, this is our usual room. Cat knows I am particular about things and ensures I have everything I want in here.” She turned around and unclipped our chains from our collars, placing them on the nightstand. “Help Elera get ready while I hunt down Perrin.”
“Help?” I glanced between her and Elera.
“Yes, help. Undo the collar on her dress, kiss her if you’d like, or more. This is a night of fun, my pet. Enjoy it.”
Mistress Belle slid her finger through the ring on my collar and pulled me close to her before planting her supple red lips on mine. A soft moan left my throat as she devoured me.
“Be a good girl for me, Hazelle, and you’ll be rewarded. I promise.”
With one last kiss, Mistress Belle exited the room and left me heaving for air with a small amount of resolve sitting in my chest. I was worried I wouldn’t be enough, but I’d try, and with Elera’s help, there was a much better chance of me being a good little Omega for my mistress, as she demanded.
Chapter eleven
Hazelle
I was frozen as I stood inside the doorway after Mistress Belle left us. Everything was moving quickly. Only twenty-four hours ago, I was in the auction house being dragged on stage to be sold. Now, I was a treasured pet who had been commanded to help another get ready for a lust-filled night, but I couldn’t move.
How was I supposed to help Elera if I couldn’t force my body to move even a mere inch? I felt my chest rising, but I wasn’t even sure I was blinking.
“Hazelle,” Elera’s voice cut through the fog, but I remained still, staring at the floorboards. “Hazelle, come on. I’m not scary, am I? We will go slow. All I need you to do is undo two buttons on my dress. That’s it.” Her hand landed on my left shoulder, and my head jerked her way, locking me onto her gaze. Her green eyes were filled with sympathy, but there was a hint of want lurking in there.
