Story: I'm Going Full Grind Mode in the World of Cultivation
Lu Li froze in place, turned back to look at the path he had just climbed, then at Qin Shu, his gaze growing distant.
Then, right in front of her, he casually flicked his robe, sat cross-legged on the ground, and closed his eyes.
Qin Shu, standing at the peak, glanced at his meditative posture and then at her master's cave residence just a short distance away. They had already reached the summit—so why was Lu Li suddenly sitting down? Was he... exhausted?
Just as she was puzzling over it, she sensed a slight shift in the air around her. Turning her head, she saw her master, Lingxu Zhenren, appearing beside her.
"He has entered a state of epiphany... I never expected that a simple visit to my mountain would grant Lu Li such an opportunity," Lingxu Zhenren remarked, stroking his beard in amusement.
"Epiphany?!" Qin Shu was utterly stunned. Could it be that the random famous quote she had casually thrown out actually triggered his enlightenment?
Not only was Qin Shu shocked, but even Lingxu Zhenren was curious. He turned to her and asked, "Shu'er, what exactly did Lu Li see?"
He had lived on this mountain for centuries and never found enlightenment here. Yet, Lu Li came once and had a breakthrough?
Qin Shu pressed her lips together, her expression complicated, and explained how she had led him up the mountain, how they had walked the entire way instead of using any shortcuts, and finally, how she had casually uttered a single profound sentence.
"The road does not exist until people walk it."
Lingxu Zhenren repeated the phrase aloud, his gaze turning thoughtful as he let the words settle in his mind. "Marvelous! Marvelous! My dear Shu'er, despite your young age, your comprehension is quite impressive. To speak such an awakening phrase—truly remarkable."
Qin Shu's face flushed red. Even with her thick skin, she dared not take credit for this.
She quickly waved her hands in protest. "No, no, no, Master! This phrase wasn't mine. How could I possibly come up with something so profound? It was said by a great scholar before I came to the cultivation world."
Lingxu Zhenren chuckled, nodding in understanding. "That makes sense. I had wondered how someone of your age could possess such worldly wisdom."
Meanwhile, Qin Shu glanced at Lu Li, deep in meditation, and began seriously considering an idea—if she could compile all the timeless, thought-provoking quotes from her previous world into a book titled *The Book of Enlightenment*, how valuable would that be?
"Come, let's return," Lingxu Zhenren said, turning toward his cave.
Qin Shu hesitated and looked back at Lu Li. "Master, shouldn't we guard Lu Li while he's meditating?"
Lingxu Zhenren chuckled. "This is my immortal mountain. Naturally, I will safeguard him. You need not worry."
Hearing this, Qin Shu felt reassured.
This man was, after all, someone she had unknowingly helped enlighten. If he truly gained insight from her words, it was his fate.
Lu Li remained in meditation for three full days before finally opening his eyes, his gaze sharp and clear as he exhaled deeply.
Rising to his feet, he casually cast a cleansing spell over himself and looked back down at the path he had climbed. The frustration and doubt in his heart had completely dissipated.
Indeed, he was still favored by destiny. He had barely stumbled once before fate had granted him such a profound opportunity for insight.
The path he walked might be one that no one else had ever traveled, but in time, others would follow. A divination that occasionally fails is only natural—who could expect to peer into destiny with absolute certainty every time?
The air beside him stirred slightly. Lu Li turned to see Lingxu Zhenren materializing nearby.
"Hahaha, congratulations, Lu Li Zhenren," Lingxu Zhenren greeted him warmly.
Lu Li cupped his hands in respect. "I must thank you for allowing me to visit this sacred mountain. Had I known it would grant me such insight, I would have come much sooner."
Lingxu Zhenren laughed. "Opportunities come when the time is right. If you had come earlier, you might not have met my little disciple at all!"
Lu Li's eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Lingxu Zhenren, may I ask—what is the name of your disciple?"
"Ah, her surname is Qin, given name Shu," Lingxu Zhenren answered with a broad smile.
Lu Li didn't even need divination to see that this little girl was Lingxu Zhenren's treasured disciple.
"Oh? Might I trouble you to summon Qin Shu? I would like to thank her in person."
Lu Li had spent over three hundred years honing his craft. When his fortune-telling had been at its peak, countless people had flocked to him, bearing gifts and wealth, just for a single divination.
If he wished to express gratitude, he certainly wouldn't do so empty-handed.
Lingxu Zhenren, seeing his sincerity, didn't refuse. "Ah, Shu'er? She's over on the next peak. I'll call her over right now."
But before he could do so, Lu Li stepped forward. "No need! If I know where she is, I can go find her myself. Little Shu'er is a body cultivator—if we wait for her to run over, who knows how long it will take?"
With that, Lu Li swiftly turned and dashed down the mountain.
Only this time, he quietly activated *Shrinking the Ground Into an Inch*, and within seconds, he was out of sight.
Lingxu Zhenren furrowed his brows and gazed toward Qin Shu's mountain. "A body cultivator?"
Wasn't his disciple supposed to be a pill cultivator? No... she was meant to be a sword cultivator, wasn't she? So when did she suddenly become a body cultivator?
When Lu Li arrived at Qin Shu's mountain, she was busy tending to her "experimental field," caring for a few small seedlings.
With Xiao Xiao still in deep slumber, there was no one to look after them. Qin Shu had originally planned to practice her swordsmanship, but after seeing the wilted seedlings, she hurriedly used her wood spiritual energy to nourish them back to life.
"Little Shu'er, we meet again," a familiar voice rang out.
Qin Shu turned around to see the blue-robed figure in the distance. He was strolling leisurely toward her—only to take one final step and instantly appear right in front of her.
Qin Shu's eyes sparkled with admiration.
That movement technique was *too* good.
If she could master that, she wouldn't even need her kiddie skateboard anymore!
She once had a chance to learn this very technique but had refused. If given another opportunity...
"Little Shu'er, have I dazzled you?" Lu Li smirked, reading her thoughts. "Still think you don't want to learn *Shrinking the Ground Into an Inch*?"
Qin Shu bit her lip, torn between pride and desire.
"Lu Li Zhenren, I have one question—why exactly are you so determined to teach me this technique?"
The young girl stood before him, barely reaching his waist, her delicate yet resolute features framed by a high ponytail, lending her an air of quiet determination.
Lu Li, for once, grew serious and answered, "Perhaps we are bound by fate. But more than that, because you have given me a moment of clarity—a gift that has steadied my path."
