Page 143 of Hymns of the Broken
We stay like that, tangled and sweaty, their come still inside me, breaths heaving, hearts pounding together.
Jasper’s voice is rough, thick with satisfaction and a dangerous promise. “That’s it. Ours. Forever.”
Riot laughs, a breathless, almost broken sound, but his arms never let me go. “No fucking way are we ever letting you go after that, Angel. Not now. Never.”
I can’t even speak. I melt intotheirarms, shaking, shattered, my whole body humming with pleasure and belonging.
I’ve never felt so owned.
Never felt so safe.
Never felt so fucking alive.
JASPER
Sawyer’s gone boneless, sprawled across Riot, her skin slick with sweat, her breath shaky against my throat. I should be pissed—jealous, territorial, ready to rip Riot off her and take back what’s mine. That’s what I expected. What I always thought would happen if I ever saw her with someone else.
But right now? Watching her completely wrecked lying tangled between us, something inside me twists. It doesn’t burn the way I thought it would. It’s more electric—raw and heavy, like seeing something private and holy. She looks ruined, yes, but she’s ours. Not just mine. Ours.
I brush damp hair off her face, studying every little mark I left on her skin, every bruise that belongs to both of us now. There’s no room for jealousy—not with the way she clings to me, and the way Riot’s hand never leaves her waist. She’s never been moreminethan she is right now, with both of us holding her, both of us inside her.
“You alive down there, Trouble?” I murmur, voice rough with something I don’t quite want to name. My lips brush her ear, softer now. “Did we break you?”
She laughs, a weak, fucked-out sound that goes straight to my chest. Riot’s grinning up at her, as ruined as she is, and I feel it again—a surge of something I thought I’d hate. Instead, I want more. I want to see her fall apart for us, over and over.
“Think we ruined her, Reign,” Riot says, voice half awe, half challenge.
I smirk, can’t help it. “Good. Maybeshe’llbehave for once.” I glance at him, realizing there’s no bite behind it. Just the low thrum of wanting her, wantingthis, all of us tangled together.
Sawyer tries to glare at us, but she’s smiling, soft and sleepy. I stroke her back, and trace the places where my fingerprints will linger. Riot’s hand is still on her thigh, possessive, but I don’t want to fight him. I want to thank him for giving me this view of her, open and trembling, letting go in a way I never thought I’d like to see.
“Breathe,” I whisper, pressing kisses from her temple down to the back of her neck. “You did so fucking good for us. Didn’t she, Riot?”
Riot squeezes her hip. “Perfect. Best thing I’ve ever seen, honestly.”
I watch them together, and something in me settles. It’s not a rivalry. It’s pride. Pride that she’s ours, pride that we can give her more than either of us alone. Together, we’re more dangerous, more loving, more everything.
She sighs, dramatic, rolling her eyes. “You two gonna fight over me now or help me up?”
“Not a chance,” I murmur, scooping her into my arms before Riot can. “You’re not going anywhere, not after that.”
Riot just grins, rubbing her calf. “Don’t worry, Hellcat. We’ll always take care of you.”
She melts against me, feeling safe and claimed. For the first time, I’m not just okay with it. I want it—her, with both of us. Ours.
I lean inclose, letting her feel every word on her skin. “Guess sharing you isn’t as bad as I thought,” I whisper. “But don’t let Riot get cocky. I’m still your favorite.”
She laughs, snuggled between us, and my heart settles. She’s ours. And that’s more than enough.
RIOT
I’m still catching my breath. Sawyer stretched out between us, hair a tangled mess, skin marked up all pretty. I can’t stop grinning—hell, I don’t want to. Jasper’s looking at her like he just discovered a new religion, all worship and claim and something I didn’t expect to see in his eyes.
He fingers brushes her cheek. For a second, I almost feel like I’m intruding, but then Sawyer’s hand finds mine and drags it over her stomach, holding on tight. Guess I’m not going anywhere.
I stretch, pretending not to be fucking wrecked, and shoot Jasper a lazy smirk. “Didn’t think you had it in you, Reign. Sharing, I mean. And don’t lie; you liked it.” My grin turns downright wicked. “And for the record, your dick totally touched mine. Bet that’s all you’ll think about now, huh?”
Jasper glares, but he’s got that tired, satisfied glow all over him. “Keep talking and I’ll make you sleep on the damn floor.”
