Story: Hood Legacy

She looked good as fuck, and I knew I’d made the right decision to cancel my meetings to be here. I licked my lips and took her in. A nigga was weak as fuck and falling fast. When my phone rang in the locker room earlier, it was my pop giving me an update on Mama. She was still against doing another round of chemo, and he was thinking about taking her out of town for the weekend and wanted my input. I was down for whatever they wanted to do and told him I’d be by later to talk in person. When I finished the call with him, I decided to move up some meetings or cancel them. I wanted to be here with Legacy for support and am glad I’d come.

“What are you doing here?” she asked softly as I hugged her. “I thought you had a meeting.”

“This shit is more important,” I answered, then kissed her forehead. I took her hand, interlaced our fingers, and walked to the table. Her parents watched us closely with a disapproving look. I’d clocked their shit the second I stepped into the room. They didn’t think highly of Legacy and thought even less of me, which was cool because I liked being underestimated.

“Thank you,” she said as I pushed her seat. “Doctor, Professor.”

“Legacy,” her parents said her name in unison.

“This is Aceyn Bowlin,” she introduced us. Her parents barely glanced at me before returning to their daughter. Legacy sighed and shook her head; her parents’ behavior had to be normal for her. “How are you?” she rested her hands in her lap and crossed her legs.

“Fine,” her mama replied.

“Managing,” her daddy said. “How are you?”

“Good,” she answered. The conversation between them sounded like a fucking meeting instead of a family catching up.

I adjusted my suit jacket and shook my head. This shit wasn’t going to last long.

“Where is your detail, Legacy?” her mama asked, and out of the corner of my eye, I could see her foot start to move. “I pay for Jermaine to be with you always. Where is he?”

“I let him go,” I said before Legacy could answer.

“Why?” her mother questioned with a slight attitude. “He is my employee, not yours.”

“Your employee is trash,” I answered. Legacy stiffened beside me, and I knew she hadn’t told her parents about her stalker. “I’m replacing him.”

“So, you’re dating the help?” her mama asked. Her dismissive behavior would get her feelings hurt if she didn’t get it together if she kept trying me. “Why am I not surprised?”

“Aceyn is a doctor,” Legacy said, shaking her head. “He’s the team’s doctor.”

“The team doctor?” her mama questioned. “Then he’s dating the help.”

“Are you fucking him for a spot on the team?” her daddy dared to ask, and I started to laugh. “He’s laughing, you must be!” He sneered at Legacy as if she wasn’t shit. “I can not believe you! Don’t you have respect for yourself?”

“This is why we sent you, Jermaine, to keep you in check!” Her mama slammed her hand into the table and shook her head. “You–”

“I’ll kill you,” I said, tapping my gun against her mama's forehead. “If you disrespect her one more time, I’m going to blow your fucking brains out all over this damn table. Please try me.” Her parents turned and looked at me; her bitch ass daddy looked scared as shit, while her mama looked annoyed. “The way you’re speaking to her ain’t gonna fly with me. Watch your fucking mouth.”

“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are!” her mom scoffed as if I was a little nigga and I smiled.

“My name is Hood,” I said as I stood. The barrel of my gun pressed into her forehead, and my trigger finger was itching to squeeze. “That’s who the fuck I know I am. Now, I don’t know who the fuck you think you are.”

“I’m her mother.”

“Nah,” I denied and shook my head. “Parents don’t talk to their daughters the way you and that bitch nigga over there was speaking to Legacy. That shit was on some dismissive, verbally abusive ass shit. Trust me, cuz my mama speak life into me, even when she mad at a nigga. There's a difference.”

“You’re only defending her because you're sleeping with her,” her mama declared, and my face twisted in confusion.

“Nah, I’m defending her because y’all are some pieces of shit,” I said, shaking my head. “We ain’t fucked yet, and I'm pulling a gun on you. Can you even imagine how I’ma move when I finally slide into them walls?” I smiled. “I know I’ma spazz then, but it's cool cuz I’m fallin' in love with her ass, so that shit is to be expected.”

“You are only with her because of us,” her mama said.

“I don’t even know who the fuck y’all are,” I laughed. “Like, legit don’t know your name, so that shit is false as fuck.”

“I am–”

“I don’t give a fuck,” I interrupted her mama. “You aren’t important, and the only good thing you’ve ever done was give birth to Legacy, so shut the fuck up.” she opened her mouth, and I knew whatever she was about to say was going to be disrespectful so I put the barrel of my gun in her mouth. “Don’t make me come out of character.”

“Aceyn,” Legacy said from beside me. I turned to look at her and lifted my brow. “Let’s go.”

“You ready already?” I asked, and she nodded. “You ain't hungry?”

“No,” she answered, shaking her head. “I just want to leave.”

“You sure?”

“Yes,” she replied, and I nodded.

I turned back to her mama and mugged her hard. “Don’t reach out to her once we leave this room. From here on out, y’all relationship is dead. I got her for eternity.” I pulled my gun from her mouth, then turned to Legacy’s father, grabbed his tie, and dragged him to me. “You a bitch made nigga. Your wife has more balls than you, which is sad.” I used his tie to clean my gun, then pushed him back into his seat. “Stay the fuck away from my woman.”

I turned to Legacy and put my hand out for her to take. A nigga felt like a million dollars when she put her hand in mine and interlaced our fingers. We walked out of the restaurant and to my car.

“You hungry?” I asked as I steered the car onto the highway. I took my eyes off the road to look at Legacy. I tapped her leg to get her attention. “You hungry?”

“Yeah,” she said, nodding. “I don’t want to be out, though. Can we grab something and go back to my house?”

“Yeah,” I said, nodding. I put my hand on her thigh and continued driving through the city toward my destination. We grabbed some wings from Cool’s and went back to her house. “Nine installed your new security system this morning while you were at the arena,” I said as I parked my truck. “He said it was the same as the one at Mercy’s old spot.”

“Okay,” she replied. I got out of the car, rounded it, got the food from the back, and then helped her from the car. Her hand went back into mine, and we walked to the door. She scanned her thump print and then stepped back. “I already know you’re going to want to check first.”

“Yep,” I laughed, then handed her the food. Even though I trusted Nine’s system, I wasn’t about to play with her safety. I pulled my gun from my waist and quickly checked her house, then came to find her standing in the doorway with a concerned look on her face. “It’s cool.”

Legacy stepped inside, looked around, and then walked to the kitchen. She sat the food on the counter and then turned to me. “Normally, I would give you the tour, but this is the second time you’ve been here, and I feel like you’ve seen everything.”

“I’m good,” I laughed as I took my suit jacket off and laid it on the couch. She nodded and then started taking the food from the bags.

“You might as well come on because I’m not about to be a good hostess. I’m hungry and still annoyed with my parents.” Legacy made our plates, grabbed some water from the fridge, and handed it to me. “I don’t have anything besides water, so if you want something else, I will have to order it.”

“Water is good,” I said with a laugh as I took the water from her and opened it. We stood next to each other, silently eating. “You want to talk about what happened?”

“No,” she said in between bites.

“You cool with me pulling a gun on your people?” I laughed, then took a bite of my wings. I loved Cool’s wings but didn’t eat them often because I was never on this side of town, but I had a feeling that was about to change.

“Can I say I’m not surprised?” she countered, and I nodded. “Well, I’m not.”

“Why did your parents hire Jermaine?” I asked, then went back to eating. I wasn’t about to sugarcoat shit with Legacy, and I knew that she responded better to honesty than she did with someone trying to play in her face. “Did they know what was going on with you?”

“No,” she sighed, then wiped her mouth with her napkin. “As you can see, we don’t have a close relationship; we only see each other once a year.”

“Explain.”

“Which part?” she questioned, and I shrugged. It didn’t matter which one we started with because we would talk about both. “Let’s start with the easiest thing: my parents didn’t want kids. I am an affair baby.”

“What?” I reared back in surprise. “An affair baby? Your mama doesn’t give me the vibe of accepting an outside child.”

“Oh, you have no idea,” Legacy laughed. “My parents have a lavender marriage.”

“The fuck is that?” I questioned.

“Both my parents are bisexual,” Legacy said, and I shook my head.

“Wait, both? If that’s the case, then how the fuck are you here?”

“My daddy’s partner's name is Joshua; he’s nice. Anyway, Joshua had a wife, too; her name was Tammy. For years, they just exchanged partners when the urge hit them. Sometimes, my mama was with Tammy, and other times, Joshua or my daddy. Well, that went on for years, and then, one day, Joshua and Tammy disappeared. They came back two years later with a one-year-old daughter.”

“You?” I asked, and she nodded. “So, your daddy got Tammy pregnant, and your mama was cool with it?”

“No, but she was in love with Tammy,” Legacy said, shaking her head. “Tammy was also sick, cancer. She’d been diagnosed when she was pregnant with me, and instead of doing chemo, she decided to carry me. When they came back around, it was because Tammy was dying, and she wanted Mama and Daddy to raise me.”

“How come she didn’t have her husband do it?”

“She knew that Joshua wasn’t going to be strong enough to do it,” she said, shaking her head and taking a bite of her food. “I look like Tammy, almost like she spit me out, and Joshua said that he couldn’t raise a child that looked like his wife without her with him, so he was okay with me coming to live with my biological father.”

“How did they know Joshua wasn’t your father?”

“He was impotent,” she answered with a shrug. “But to be safe, my daddy did a DNA test, and I’m his.”

“So, yo mama was cool with this?”

“No,” she denied. “But like I said, she was in love with Tammy and agreed to take me in.”

“What happened to Tammy?”

“She died three weeks after we showed up.” she shrugged as if it was no big deal, but I could tell it bothered her. “I think Mama thought she had more time, and when it came down to it, she didn’t. So, she was stuck with a child she didn’t want, a husband that she couldn’t stand, and a marriage that was fake as hell.”

“Whatever happened with Joshua?”

“He’s still with my daddy,” she laughed, and I stood there shocked. “It’s rather ghetto, huh?”

“Fuck yeah!” I laughed, then went back to eating. “I just knew your parents had this boring marriage, which is why they were both the way they were.”

“Nope,” she said, shaking her head. “My daddy is happy with his partner, and my mama is miserable, watching him love and be loved.”

“Why not just divorce?”

“Because she doesn’t want to give him half,” she answered with a shrug. “Please, she’s a bitch and doesn’t think he deserves to be happy. The easiest way to ensure that doesn’t happen is to never let him stray too far. His reputation as a law professor would be ruined, and his image means everything to him.”

“Damn,” I sighed and shook my head. “That’s fucked up.”

“I know,” She laughed. “But he signed up for that life, not me, so he has to deal with it.”

“So, why did they hire Jermaine?”

“I’m pretty sure that was my mama’s doing to keep tabs on him, too. For a while, Daddy used visiting me as an excuse to escape her, so she hired Jermaine to keep an eye on him.”

“Was your pop coming to visit you?”

“Nope,” she said, shaking her head. “I see him once a year and talk to him twice.”

“Yeah, your people are fucked up.” I started cleaning up my mess and looked over at Legacy. She looked relaxed as fuck, but I needed to know about this stalker shit. “Ay, we need to talk.”

“I don’t know who’s stalking me,” she sighed. The fact that she knew where my mind was going was dope as hell. “It started when I was on my other team. It was always flowers; they’d be in my car or at the arena waiting for me when I arrived. I spoke to my old coach, who dismissed it as no big deal; he even said I should be happy that I was getting the attention.”

“What?” I reared back in surprise, and she nodded. “That nigga crazy.”

“I tried to ignore it, but after a while, it became overwhelming. The flowers, then the texts.”

“What text?” I asked, on alert.

She wiped her hands on the towel, then left the kitchen to get her purse. She returned, handed me the phone, and went back to eating. “I don’t have a lock code, so just swipe the screen. They are all there.”

I swiped her screen, went to her text messages, and went through her texts. A thread from an unknown number went back over a year. Legacy never responded, but the shit was obsessive. Whoever it was, texted her multiple times a day.

“Why didn’t you change your number?”

“I have a few times,” she answered. “I would get a few days of peace, then they’d start back up, so I stopped trying.”

“Why didn’t you mention this before?” I set her phone on the island and gave her my full attention.

“Tell who exactly?” she asked with a smirk. “I don’t know who it is or why they are doing it, so what was I supposed to say?”

“To anyone, shit, look who’s around you. One of us would’ve stepped up.”

“I thought I had it under control,” she said as she cleaned up her mess. “I’d come to another state, on a different team. Whoever that is slowed down for a little while, or so I thought.”

“Nah, they just got more comfortable,” I denied, shaking my head. “That nigga was taking naps in your car, following you around the city. And who knows what else.”

“So, what do you want me to do?” she questioned, slightly annoyed. “I went to the police, and they said there was nothing they could do.”

“You should’ve come to me,” I said, stepping into her space. “I could’ve handled it.”

“By what, killing everybody that steps to me?”

“Yes!” I replied. “What part of you are too special to let somebody play with your safety, don’t you understand?” I took her chin in my hand and made her look at me. “I’m not about to play about you, Point Guard.” I crushed my mouth into hers, not giving a fuck about shit else but getting my point across.

I let her chin go, wrapped my arms around her waist, picked her up, and set her on the island. We kissed so long and hard that when we pulled apart, we were out of breath. I stepped back, pushed her back on the island, and opened her legs. To see her pretty ass pussy bare and glistening made me lick my lips. I kissed up her right leg and hiked her dress up to her waist.

“This shit pretty and all, but it’s got to go.” I grabbed a knife from the butcher block on the island and cut her dress off her body. “I’ll buy you another one.”

“Fuck that dress,” Legacy said as she pushed the remaining pieces off her and reached for my shirt. “Take that off.”

“Chill the fuck out,” I chuckled, then threw the knife into the sink. “I got shit to do before you get some dick.”

“What?”

“I’m still hungry; now, shut the fuck up while I eat.” I pushed her legs back open and buried my face into her pussy. Legacy gripped the back of my head and moaned loudly as I sucked on her clit. I sucked her shit so hard that her leg started slamming against my head, and I had to use my shoulders to block her hits.

“Damn it, Aceyn!” She moaned and tried to push me away.

I released her pussy from my mouth and grilled the fuck out of her. “Ay, stop fucking pushing me away.” I tapped her clit with my hand and watched as her eyes rolled into the back of her head. “You hear me, Point Guard?”

“Yes,” she moaned. “Fuck!”

I pushed two fingers into her and pressed my thumb against her clit, working her over. “You might run shit on the court, Point Guard, but when we are like this, I’m in charge. Your pretty ass pussy is only going to call out for me to come and touch her. She’s only going to get wet for me. Even if you try to touch yourself at the thought of me, she won't even respond.” I kissed her clit. “Ain’t that right, beautiful?”

“Yes!” she panted. Her pussy was squeezing the fuck out of my fingers, but I didn’t give a damn. I wanted her to cum as many times as possible in one night and spend the rest of our lives trying to double that number every chance I got. “You ready to cum?”

“Yes,” she moaned, then grabbed onto her nipples and twisted them. “Aceyn, baby, please.”

“Oh shit, you calling me baby?” I taunted, shaking my head. “You trying to make me your nigga and give me a pet name?” My dick was so hard, pressing against the zipper of my pants, that I was about to bust through them. Hearing her call me baby had my shit throbbing. I wasn’t a nigga that was big on that shit, but hearing Legacy say it had my head swimming. I kissed her clit again, then blew on it. “Huh, Legacy, you trying to make this shit legit?”

I freed my dick from my pants and boxer briefs and had to stroke it a few times to try and relieve some of the pressure built up, but the more I stared down at Legacy’s pretty ass pussy, the harder I got.

“Fuck, I’m about to cum,” she moaned, and I smirked.

“Do that shit, then,” I encouraged her as I worked her over with my hand. I wanted to see her pussy spasm before I felt it around my dick. I knew that shit was going to be pretty as hell. “Cum so I can slide my dick in, and she welcomes me home.”

“Aceyn,” she moaned.

“Nah, call me baby when we like this.” I kissed her clit again. “I want to hear you scream that shit while you cum in my mouth.” I moved my hand from her pussy, then latched back onto her clit and sucked the shit out of her. Her legs started to shake, and her hand went to the back of my head. I stared up at her as her back arched off the island, and she used her free hand to slam against it.

“Baby!” she squirted, and I drank all the juices that flowed from her body. Legacy relaxed against the island, and I waited for her moans to turn into whimpers. I rubbed my hand up her leg to keep touching her while I watched her pussy pulsate. I licked my lips and shook my head. Her ass was so fucking pretty.

I stepped back, grabbed my dick then lined it up to her pussy. I took my time making my way inside, loving the feeling of her welcoming me and holding me close.

“Oh shit,” she moaned once I was entirely inside. Her pussy was going crazy on my dick, and I was holding in my nut. “Oh fuck, I’m about to cum again.” She rocked against my shit like three times and then was cumming again. I let her orgasm subside, then started moving. “Aceyn.”

“Nah, that ain’t what you supposed to call me,” I said as I pressed into her clit with my thumb. Her pussy locked down on my dick, and I had to bite into my lip. “Say that shit right.”

“Baby!” She moaned and slapped my chest. Her nails dug into my shirt, and I was lowkey pissed I had it on. I wanted the scar as proof that I’d put in that work.

I wrapped my hand around her throat and bent forward to put my mouth next to her ear. “You think you are going somewhere?” I nipped at her ear. “You’re not, we locked in. This pussy already belongs to me, and I've been coming for your mind since the day we met. Just give in, Legacy, and let me love you.” I bit into her neck and sucked her skin, making sure that I left my mark for any nigga to see if they stepped to her when I wasn’t around. “The easy or hard way doesn’t matter because I’m never letting you go.”

“Aceyn,” she panted and held on to me tight. “Baby.”

“I got you,” I encouraged her as I started to move faster. My nut was beginning to build, and I wanted us to cum together. “Now let that shit go so we can go again.”

She came all over my dick, and I emptied my seed into her.
