Dark fae - Term that encompasses the fae of the Autumn and Winter Courts
Elf - A type of fair folk regarded as inherently good. Exceedingly beautiful. Elves serve the Lady and must keep themselves pure. They live up to 500 years
Gnome - A short and chubby type of fair folk . About one foot tall. They live in human gardens where they cultivate vegetables. Gnomes live up to 40 years
Great River, the - A large river separating Vale and the former Turian Empire , now in the hands of the orcs
Fae - A mischievous type of fair folk of great beauty. Divided into light and dark fae . According to their status, powers and wealth, they can be separated into high , common and lesser fae . They live up to 300 years
Faerie - Relating to fae
Fair folk - An umbrella term for humanoid supernatural creatures. Includes dwarfs, elves , fae , gnomes , imps , orcs , pixies, etc. All fair folk have pointy ears
High fae - The richest and most powerful of the fae
House Aranin - Barons who control the southernmost part of Vale . Castlehill (castle) belongs to them. Notable members: James, the Baron Aranin of Castlehill, Master Henry and Lady Cordelia
House Dalton - Barons who control the Somer Valley. Somerdale Castle belongs to them. Notable members: Richard, the Baron Dalton of Somerdale, Master George and Master Nathan
Imp - A dangerous type of fair folk that takes pleasure in enslaving human souls. Slim and on average a few inches shorter than humans. Appear as orange or red will-o’-wisps . Various types of imps exist such as fire imps
Lady, the - Sometimes referred to as God or the Lion of Vale. Her true name is Adelaide. Creator of the world, the fair folk and humans; protector of Vale
Lesser fae - The lowest class in the hierarchy of the faerie courts. Usually poor and without significant magical abilities
Light fae - Term that encompasses the fae of the Spring and Summer Courts
Oordoon - Homeland of the orcs , lies in Xaustra . Also refers to the language spoken by the orcs
Orc - Tall, green-skinned and largely regarded as savage brutes, the orcs have demonstrated impressive military capability by ending the Turian Empire . They can procreate with human men, whom they enjoy ravishing. They live up to 80 years
Somerdale - A town in the Somer Valley, part of House Dalton ’s territory
