She retrieved her tablet and when she came back to the table, West pulled her into his lap.

“Read it to me.”

“Motion Mates is a cutting-edge athleisurewear brand focused on blending performance and style for any age individual. We provide high-quality, innovative, fashionable apparel which empowers our customers to lead active, healthy lifestyles while feeling confident and stylish wherever they are, from the gym to running errands to socializing with friends.”

“That’s pretty powerful. Now, give me the mission statement,” he instructed.

“The mission of Motion Mates is to inspire and empower individuals of all ages to live happy, active lives. We create premium athleisurewear which combines durable materials with contemporary designs, ensuring our clients feel confident and stylish in all they do. We are committed to creating apparel that supports both physical pursuits while resonating with your lifestyle.”

He thought a moment. “So, the summary hits key points regarding the business, while the mission statement is more about the customer.”

“In a sense, yes. I always was good with writing essays. Word choice is critical with both of these statements. You need to select powerful verbs that resonate with people.”

“I think you’re smart to include working those up as part of a company’s business plan.”

Kelby slipped from his lap and took her seat again.

“It’s another service to offer. Not everyone will take me up on it, but I wanted to make it available, all the same.

I figure most clients will strictly want me handling their social media.

A few more will need websites or website help, plus a chunk will need me to design ads for them.

What I just read to you will be a small fraction of my work, but it’s an important part. ”

“I agree.” He grinned. “You could also offer cooking services. Menus and meal prep.” He reached and took her hand. “Then again, that would take you away from me too much, and I like you right here in Hawthorne with me.”

“Speaking of that. I talked with the twins and Darby today. If you’re up for a wedding next Saturday, they can all make it in for the weekend.”

Pure joy filled West. “You’re sure?”

She nodded. “Way past sure. I’m ready to start my life with you, West.”

“Then give everyone the thumbs up that it’s a go. We can apply for the license at the courthouse on Monday.”

“I was hoping you’d say yes. I’ve already told Tammy and your mom that’s the date we’re looking at.”

“Then let them do their magic. You still want it held on the ranch?”

“Yes. I don’t want to worry about weather, though. Spring storms can appear suddenly. I’d rather just hold the ceremony in the great room. Just a few flowers. Maybe someone playing the piano in the room.”

“No, Summer volunteered to play the violin. I think that sounds perfect.”

He caught her nape with his hand and pulled her to him. “Dinner was great and all, but I’m hankering for some dessert. In fact, I see myself having an obscene amount of dessert tonight.”

“You do?” she asked coyly.

“I most certainly do,” he confirmed, coming to his feet and taking her hand.

“What about?—”

“Leave it.”

“Yes, sir.”

West led her to his bedroom. Knowing that Sawyer was gone and they wouldn’t be interrupted was liberating.

Not that his cousin had been a terrible roommate.

If anything, Sawyer stayed out of their way entirely.

It was just nice to know that if he wanted to chase a naked Kelby through the house, he could do so without consequences.

They came together, kissing passionately.

It never took long for things to heat up between them.

He found it pleasurable to undress her, kissing her after each item of clothing was removed.

Once they had shed everything, they fell onto the bed, laughing, the need for one another building.

He caressed her curves lovingly, in wonder, still amazed that this special woman saw something in him and wanted a life together.

He dragged his tongue to the pulse point in her throat, circling it, before journeying lower.

Stopping at the swell of her breast, he outlined it with his tongue, his cock growing hard at her quick intake of breath as he did so.

For her part, she reached down, encircling him, stroking him.

Sometimes, firmly. Sometimes, more gently.

The change drove his desire to spiral out of control.

West climbed atop her, spreading her legs wide, his fingers finding her.

Stroking her. Pushing inside her and moving, even as his mouth took from her.

His hand came to rest on her hips as she thrust them upward, meeting his fingers, whimpering.

Then she tightened around them, the orgasm racing through her.

She cried out his name, and it was the sweetest sound he had ever heard.

All he wanted was to love Kelby and experience her love, in return.

Quickly, West sank into her, pumping away. Their cries of ecstasy grew louder as each thrust brought more intense feelings of pleasure. Then a ripple of sensuality poured through him, and he roared, claiming her as his.

Collapsing atop her, he kissed her again, hard, wanting to possess all of her. It seemed he would never be able to fill his desire for her.

Finally, he rolled to his side, his limbs wrapped around her, his need for her fulfilled.

For now.

“You said no calories, right?”

He felt her smile against his shoulder. “Absolutely none. Guaranteed.”

“Then I’m going to need a second helping in a few minutes. When I recover.”

“Second helpings are on the house,” she said pertly. “And only provided to very special customers.”

West laughed, running his fingers through the strands of her long, dark hair. They lay together, reveling in the feel of their bodies against one another’s. After several minutes, he thought he might be up for round two.

“You ready for seconds yet?” he asked, lazily circling her nipple with the pad of his thumb.

“You have to earn seconds, Sutherland,” Kelby said, leaping from the bed and taking off.

It didn’t take long to catch her. The house was small, and he was pretty darn fast.

Then again, he was certain Kelby didn’t mind being caught.
