Story: Green Ravens (Ravens #2)
Chief Styles Sawyer
Zorion
Zorion was pleasantly surprised so far, but he wouldn’t get his hopes up when they’d only been there ten minutes.
“Brother, Zorion and Valor have had a strenuous fight to escape and then endured a long flight. Perhaps they can…”
“Of course.”
Lion turned to the silent men behind them.
“Prepare for sham and show my guests to their rooms.”
Lion and Omega went in a different direction, and he and Valor were escorted into a grand structure reminiscent of an ancient castle.
The halls were vast, lit by torches, and adorned with tapestries depicting men in battle and posed in various fight stances.
The stone floors had a polished sheen and appeared worn smooth, perhaps from centuries of footfalls. But what held Zorion’s attention was there were no guards. This place was sacred, protected, and safe, so they weren’t needed.
Their bedroom was breathtaking. It wasn’t like the makeshift jungle at the Raven facility. Instead, it was homely and warm. A large room with a sitting area of plush cushions on a thick Persian rug and a grand-sized bed that seemed too luxurious for mere guests.
A wide balcony overlooked a field of star-shaped white blossoms, with the sea shimmering in the distance.
It was a dreamlike reality. All natural instead of manufactured and reconstructed to mimic Mother Nature’s creations.
An attendant stood by the door with his eyes cast down and gave them a slight bow.
“A bath of bamboo salts and aromatic oils has been prepared,” he said in a gentle accent and gestured toward a set of solid oak double doors. “And there is fresh attire for you in the wardrobes.”
After he closed the door, Zorion released a long breath.
He turned and Valor was on his heels. Without words, he stepped into his embrace.
Zorion slid Valor’s hood off so he could stare into those hypnotic hazel eyes.
Their lips met in a slow, searing kiss full of emotion, survival, relief, and the promises of something new and wonderful.
Valor eased Zorion’s hood off and explored his face as if committing every detail to memory, his touch strong and possessive.
Their tongues tangled in a heated dance as Valor gently caressed his scarred throat and cheek.
Zorion gripped Valor’s hip and pulled their lower bodies closer until there was no space between them. He let out a deep moan as he tilted his head and surrendered to Valor’s addictive dominance.
Every flick of Valor’s tongue filled him with erotic need, craving, and longing. He didn’t want it to stop, but…
“Mmm, you trying to get loved on in another warrior’s home?” Valor growled against his throat.
“Fuck yeah, I am.”
“Tub. Now,” Valor demanded.
Zorion began to take his heavy jacket off. “How do you even know if we can both fit in the—”
“Holy shit,” Valor gasped.
The sight of the huge stone tub took Zorion’s breath away.
It resembled a natural hot spring one would find in the Nevada Mountains.
The water was steaming and white and purple flower petals floated delicately on the surface. The air smelled of lavender and whatever woodsy incense was burning in the corner.
Lit candles flickered around the dim room. There was no artificial lighting or electronic buzzing from fluorescent bulbs.
“Looks like there’s plenty of room.” Valor smirked as he took off the rest of his clothes.
Zorion stripped his flight suit off, stepped into the tub, and sank down until the water was over his nipples. He groaned as the heat and fragrance began to release his tension.
Before he could settle in, Valor was on him, his hands roaming, mouth exploring.
They began to move together, bodies slicked from the oils in the water.
Valor traced heat trails along his damp skin, his hands gliding over his muscles and scars.
Zorion struggled to get as close and tight as he could. He needed his partner right now. He looked at Valor over his shoulder in silent invitation.
The low growl he got in response vibrated the sensitive skin on the back of his neck, making him tremble as Valor’s hardness nudged his ass.
“Yes,” Zorion whispered.
