“Where is he then? Hmm? He ran the first chance he got,” I say.
“Call him,” Bellamy says with a sigh.
“Fine,” I say, picking up my phone. I walk around and sit as I call. On the third ring, he picks up, and I place the call on speakerphone.
“Hey, Son. How are—”
“Who the fuck is she?” I bark.
“Marcus,” Dad sighs.
“No. Who is Kendra? Why did she just get everything, and Archer gets nothing? His own fucking son, Dad.”
“If she hasn’t told you, then she doesn’t want anyone to know yet,” Dad says simply.
“He’s being a dick,” Bellamy says. “He called her a whore and made a comment about Alan likely fucking her over his desk, and she hit him.”
“Jesus, Marcus,” Dad says with a sigh. “She wasn't a partner or anything of the sort. Okay? She’s not a gold digger, Marcus.”
“Then who…”
“Why does it matter?” Dad asks.
“Because she owns thirty fucking percent!” I yell.
“Look, I’m not telling you. Julie won’t. Jesse won’t. Keep being an ass, and she probably won’t either. Just chill out and give her time,” Dad says.
“Fine. Thanks,” I say.
“Marcus, please don’t be like that,” Dad says, but I end the call.
“He knows,” I say. “He knows, and he won’t tell me.”
“You are obsessed, Marcus,” Bellamy says.
“Archer deserved that company. Not her,” I declare. “I’m going to make damn sure it goes to who it belongs to.”
“Well, you won’t have my support,” Bellamy says. “Call a board meeting if you are so concerned.”
“Alright,” I say. “I will, and they will make sure she speaks up.”
Bellamy rolls his eyes before leaving my office, and I sit back to think about what’s happened. Why can’t she just say how she knows him? On a whim, I pick my phone up again and call Archer.
“Hello?” he answers with a sigh.
“Hey, man. How are you holding up?”
“Like shit. The bitch stole everything from me,” he says.
“Who was she to him?” I ask.
“Just a bitch who told a bunch of lies. He disowned me, and now she owns everything. She manipulated him for years.”
“Well, if you decide to take her to court, you have my support,” I say.
