“It must be nice living here. I just got here today.”
“You’re going to love it. Are you going to go to the daycare while your Daddy is at work?”
I nod. “Do you go there?”
“Yes. Not always. I have a Daddy and a Mommy. Sometimes one of them is home with me. Like today.”
“Oh.” He has two caregivers. That must be… I don’t know what it is. It could be overwhelming trying to be good for two people.
Daddy still has a hand on my shoulder, which is providing me with moral support, but he’s talking to Carter about island business.
Jake nods. “Have you been to the clinic yet?”
I cringe. “Yeah. This morning.”
“My Mommy works there. She’s one of the nurses. Maybe you met her?”
I shake my head. “No. I met Brian.”
“Oh, he’s super nice. Maybe next time you’ll meet my Mommy, Kelly.”
“Maybe.” It’s surreal having a conversation with another Little. This is really my first encounter directly with someone else who practices age play.
“We’re going to go see the giraffes. Do you want to come with us?”
I smile. “That sounds like fun. I haven’t been to a zoo in many years. I’m excited aboutallthe animals.”
He turns toward Carter and patiently waits for the other man to acknowledge him. “Can Grace and Eli go with us to see the giraffes?”
“If it’s okay with her Daddy.”
I tip my head back to look at Eli. “Can we?”
“Of course, Little one.”
I’m trembling as I smile at him. I’ve spoken to another Little, and lightning didn’t strike me dead. Jake is so kind. Daddy says most Littles are kind. After all, they all belong to a fetish community that is very protective of their own.
Maybe I’ll be fine.
Two hours later, I’m walking on air. Not only have I made a friend in Jake, but we’ve also joined another couple. The Little girl’s name is Claire. She and Jake are friends from way back. They used to live near each other on the mainland.
Claire is so sweet and adorable, and I’ve learned she makes dolls and her Daddy owns the toy store in town. Daddy has promised to take me there soon.
“Snack time,” Claire’s Daddy declares as we leave the elephant exhibit and approach a food court. His name is Sean, and he finds a spot in the grass to spread out a blanket for the three of us to sit on.
“What’s your favorite flavor?” Carter asks me, his eyes twinkling.
“Watermelon.” I glance at Daddy, wondering if he’s going to let me have a snack. He’s told me that I will only be taking bottles while we’re here this trip, but he nods his approval toward Carter, who takes off in search of whatever secret snacks we’re about to have.
Daddy and Sean sit on a bench nearby, leaving Jake, Claire, and me on the blanket.
“What do you think of Littleworld so far?” Jake asks.
I sit taller. “I love it. I can’t believe this island and these parks were here all this time, and I’ve never heard of them.”
Claire giggles. “It’s weird at first. I remember my eyes bugged out of my head the first few days after I arrived. You’ll get used to a new normal, and then nothing will seem odd. It’s a way of life lots of people prefer.”
“It will be so strange when I go back to the mainland,” I say.
