Then he lifted my other leg, too, and put his thumb on my clit again.
I wasn't aware of anything anymore—not the couch or my surroundings. Nothing except the exquisite pleasure rocking my body. It started in my center but took over completely. I felt him come over the edge with me as well, grunting out my name, kissing my ankles, sliding inside me ferociously. When my aftershocks subsided, he slowed down, looking between us. His thumb was still on my clit.
I swallowed hard when he stilled and smiled at me.
“You’re everything, to me, Riley. Everything.”
Emotions clogged my throat, and I couldn’t reply at all. All I could do was raise my head and kiss him.
CHAPTER THIRTY
Duncan
The next morning, we both woke up early, which was perfect for me because I wanted to enjoy a little more time with Riley before we picked up Jeremy. She was singing in the shower. I promised myself that I wouldn't distract her from it, but I lost my willpower only a few minutes later. I couldn't resist knowing that she was naked under the spray of water.
Jumping out of bed, I headed into the bathroom and opened the door to the shower, stepping inside. She shrieked and then lost her balance. I grabbed her, putting both hands on her rib cage.
"Oh my God, you should announce yourself," she said.
"I did, but you were singing. Very loudly, I might add."
"Oops, I didn't realize."
"It's fine, babe. You were relaxed. But you sounded so irresistible that I couldn't stay in bed by myself any longer."
"Really? My high-pitched tune was irresistible? You're a bad liar."
"No, knowing that you were here naked was very irresistible to me. I thought you might need help washing your back."
"Or my boobs?" she asked as I started soaping up her breasts.
"Every part of you," I said, kissing the tip of her nose.
"All right, then. Allow me to return the favor so you don't feel like I'm using you or something."
I grinned, loving the feeling of her palms on my skin.
After we cleaned up, I intended for us to drink coffee before we left, but then I saw a message from Mom.
Mom: Jeremy woke up a bit poorly today. He's vomiting and having diarrhea. I think he's got a stomach bug.
"Fuck!" I exclaimed.
"What's wrong?" Riley walked toward me, clutching her hand to her stomach.
"We have to cancel the camping trip."
"What's wrong?"
"Jeremy's not feeling well. Mom thinks he's got a stomach bug."
She frowned. "Oh no, poor thing."
"Come on, let's pick him up and see how the day goes," I suggested.
Riley nodded. "Sure."
I was supposed to pick up donuts for him, but I headed straight to Mom's. If he had a bug, the last thing he needed was donuts.
