“Mommy!” They run towards me. In their arms, are huge piles of wood for the fire. I can barely see their happy little face.
“Hello, little ones.” I gently kiss the tops of their heads and rub my hands over their clothes to wipe off some of the dirt. Doing their laundry is going to be a bitch.
“Everything okay?” Kaiden asks, dropping the wood on the ground and kissing me.
“Perfect,” I say, “now you’re here.”
His hand slides around my back and squeezes my ass.
I’ve put on some pounds since we first met. But it seems like the curvier I get, the more he loves my body.
“You know…” he lowers his mouth to my ear and whispers gently, “once the kids are asleep, I was thinking maybe we could…” he wiggles his bushy silver eyebrows.
I know exactly what he means, but I want to hear him say it. “We could, what?” I ask.
His hand pulls me closer. Our bodies look together in a familiar way that makes my panties wet and my head dizzy. “We could take off all our clothes and make love,” he growls.
A shiver runs down my spine. How in the heck did I ever get so lucky? Even after all these years, he still has that effect on me.
I wish we could just freeze time and fuck right now. The children might still be awake for hours.
“I can’t wait,” I say, meaning it.
He kisses me softly on the lips and pats my rear. “Me either,” he says, then lowering his voice again. “You know, it's not too late to have another baby?”
