Page 67 of Fey Dominion
I don’t know why I am surprised. While I have been trying to fight the fey and liberate humans, other humans have been having dirty fantasies about them. It tracks. Humans are horny fuckers. There is no point in being disappointed about it.
The guy snorts. “Fey porn? Hell yeah, it’s a thing. Where the hell have you been?”
“Not chronically online,” I bristle.
“Your loss,” he shrugs.
I watch in confusion as he reaches into his pocket, pulls out his wallet, takes out a ten and places it on top of the fifty.
“My mate would be up for a collab?”
Weakly, I release Mabon. I have a horrible, sinking feeling about where this is heading.
“What’s a collab?” Mabon asks with keen interest.
“It means taking nudes together in one of the back rooms of this dump while this charming young man gets a cut,” I explain tiredly. I feel a headache coming on.
The receptionist grins at me with absolutely no shame at all.
Mabon squeals in delight. “Sounds fun!”
I groan.
“Is your friend handsome?” Mabon asks.
“He’s pretty,” says the man as he hands Mabon his phone.
Mabon takes it and starts scrolling happily. The receptionist turns to me.
“You’re hot too. You guys look good together.”
“No!” I spit through gritted teeth.
He holds his hands up. “Just a suggestion, man.”
Mabon shrieks in appreciation as he stares down at the phone in his hands. “Oh! Humans really are inventive.”
My eyes lock with the receptionist. “He’s…”
“German?” says the receptionist.
“Getting in character,” I say.
The man just smiles and turns his attention back to Mabon. I don’t think he cares. All he can see is an opportunity to make money. Nothing else matters.
“So, do we have a deal?” he drawls.
Mabon’s head snaps up. An evil gleam lights up his eyes and a sly grin spreads across his face.
“Yes, a deal.”
Holy fuck. Now I don’t know who to be worried about. I know I can’t stop it, I’m not foolish enough to believe Mabon is going to pay any heed to my objections. So this is happening. Whether I like it or not. Whatever the outcome may be.
How the hell has my life come to this?
I’ve been glaring at this stupid door for hours. Mabon is on the other side of it, doing who knows what. I was invited to watch, but I wasn’t going to torture myself like that. Yet, I can’t walk away and wait in our room. That’s also impossible. So I’m stuck here. In this hellish limbo.
At least this way, I’ll be able to hear if anything goes wrong and I can burst through that door in seconds. At some point while I have been waiting, any concern I had for the humans has utterly vanished. Now all I care about is Mabon’s well-being.
