“Wow,” someone whispered from beside me, I turned to see the teen Hazel had been attending too had opened his eyes.

“Oh wow, what did you do?” I asked her as I watched on in awe as he sat up and looked around the room, he ran his hand down his chest… where he had been bitten only hours earlier by a vampire.

“I don’t know I was just sitting here, holding his hand.”

“It’s gone?” He questioned. What? How did… was it Lexi’s blood? Was it finally working? Oh god where was she.

I felt something squeeze my hand. My heart started to race. I turned to see Huxley had opened his eyes. I tried to hold back a sob but I couldn’t.

“Oh god, you’re okay. Your chest.” It was as if nothing was there, the only thing left was blood. I sat up and grabbed a towel, it was cleaner than others I had used and I wiped my face, clearing away the tears and mess.

“Hux?” I choked out. He tilted his head and gave me a smile. But before I could ask him if he needed anything, his hand came behind my head and pulled me to his lips. My eyes closed as soon as his warm lips touched mine.

When we pulled apart, I couldn’t help the smile on my face, I touched my lips. Huxley kissed me. My first kiss. It wasn’t in a perfect place, but it was definitely with the right person at the right time.

“You’re not shaving my eyebrow.”
