Waking up this morning is fucking torment.

My hand is wrapped tight around my cock.

Natalia’s sweet, feminine scent still hangs in the air.

Her honey-sweet taste on my lips.

But it’s the image of the boss standing at the side ofmy bed with the butt of his shotgun at my temple that makes my eyes snap open. It’s a fucking sobering thought, but it’s possible.

Likely.

If he finds out, that's precisely how my death will go down.

Back when I used to kill for him, when everyone called me the Trigger, the boss was all about sending messages with each execution. The bloodier the corpse, the stronger the statement,he used to say.

I can’t say he’s wrong.

I got it coming.

After last night, there’s not a doubt in my mind that I deserve whatever comes down as his judgment.

I committed at least a few of the seven deadly sins on Natalia’s body.

Gluttony.

Maybe more.

And none of them will go unpunished.

Long before I touched myboss’s daughter, the scales have been tipped, and not in my favor.

I’ve hurt people.

I’ve broken families.

Maimed.

Killed.

Dismembered.

God knows enough bodies are buried.

I stare up at a spot on the ceiling, awaiting my fate. If the boss himself kicks open my door this second, unloads a clip into me and sendsme to meet my maker, it won’t be a day too soon.

And now, after Natalia, I could take a sliver of joy with me when I die.

I grunt out a sound from the selfish thought, and am sitting up in bed when the thump of a massive fist lands hard on my door.
