The male rose, nudging his little female to follow. She complied, knowing their time was up.They padded their way back to the tree beside the house, using powerful muscles and claws to climb it effortlessly before jumping through the open window. They both shifted to their human forms.

Devon pulled her to him.A low growl of satisfaction vibrated in Sarah’s ear.“You are the greatest gift I have ever been given.”He rubbed his cheek along hers.

She loved these moments the most. When they were in human form, but were still ruled by their cat’s instincts and emotions. She ran her fingers over his stubbled jaw.“I love you,” she said.

He tipped her head back with his fingers on her chin, kissing her gently.“You could make a man believe in miracles.”The smile in his eyes was more brilliant than the one on his lips.

There was a deliberate shuffle outside the door.“Ahem,” Hunter said.

Sarah saw the dress folded on the chair on top of the jeans. She pulled it over her head as Devon pulled on the pants.“Clearly Hunter isn’t the stealthy one in the family.”

Hunter walked in with a pained expression.“I was being considerate.Tell her Devon.”

Devon shrugged his shoulders.“I always thought you were kinda clumsy myself.”

Hunter’s jaw dropped.“You fucker.I saved your pathetic ass...”He stopped when it was obvious Devon was trying not to laugh.“Oh,nowyou get a sense of humor...figures.”

Sarah laughed. This was family.“What’s got your knickers in a knot?”

Hunter shook his head.“Your office called. They want you to check in.”

Sarah looked at the clock. She’d completely lost track of time.“Oh crap.Bob must be freaking out.I should have checked in last night.”

Hunter smirked.“I told him you and Devon went to bed early. That you weren’t feeling that well.”

Sarah stilled.“You told my boss that I was sleeping with Devon?”She asked incredulously.

Hunters smile beamed.“Yes.I did.”

Devon growled at her.She smacked his chest.“Stop that! It’s not that I don’t want him to know it’s just so...unprofessional.”

Devon pulled her back against his body roughly.“Nothing we did last night was professional.”He smashed his lips against hers. His tongue demanding entrance to her mouth forced her submission. It took her a few seconds to remember that Hunter was watching. She pulled back.

She turned to Hunters smirking face.“I may just shoot you.”

Hunter threw his hands in the air.“What is it with the new mates that they want to shoot me?”He said in an exasperated tone.

Sarah raised her eyebrows.“I’m not the first?”

Hunter rolled his eyes.“Lucy may have made that threat once or twice as well.”

Sarah smiled.“I really like Lucy.”

Hunter huffed.“Yeah, I bet.Are you going to call in?”

“Right now,” she went to Devon’s room and retrieved her phone.

Bob picked up on the first ring.“Sarah.Are you okay?”

“Yes.Sorry, I should have called in last night.”

“Hunter said you were unwell?”

“Just a touch of the flu.I’m feeling better now,” she said.

“He also said you are...with Devon,” Bob said delicately.

She shot Hunter a venomous look.“Yes, I am.He’s my...boyfriend.”
