I lean in real slow, deliberately invading her space. My hands press down hard on the armrests, boxing her in the chair. “Nowhere left to run now.”
Her chest pumps fast between us, quick, nervous breaths warming my skin. Those wide eyes track me.
Instinct takes over and I let my eyes roam down her body before forcing them back up, disgusted with myself. I won’t give her that satisfaction.
“I have no intention of running,” she breathes, lifting her chin in challenge even as her pulse visibly flutters.
Her gaze flicks to my arms barricading any escape. I have to grudgingly admire her boldness, holding her ground against me.
“I want to know,” I say in a low voice, “did you swipe the key fob before or after I slid my fingers into your tight little pussy?”
Her eyes widen at my crude words.
“I didn’t take any keys,” she splutters unconvincingly, eyes glued to my chest.
“Cut the bullshit, angel. Where’s my damn car?”
“I don’t know anything about it, I swear.” She’s lying, right to my face.
Those spellbinding eyes won’t work on me again. I hate being so brazenly deceived.
“I can’t stand sly women like you. At least hookers are honest about screwing men. But you? You’re worse.”
She bristles, looking ready to brain me with that laptop. “You have no right speaking to me that way. You don’t know the first thing about me,” she fires back defiantly.
I skim my finger down her jawline, relishing her racing pulse under my touch. Her lips part but nothing comes out.
“All I know is you’re a liar,” I say in a low voice.
“If you really believe I stole your car, why don’t you call the cops?” she snaps.
“I prefer to handle things myself. And I want the truth from those pouty lying lips of yours.” My thumb traces over her trembling bottom lip. “But honesty isn’t your strong suit, is it?”
We glare at each other in charged silence, broken only by her shallow breaths.
“You’ve got no proof,” she finally says.
I smirk. “I have cameras all over my hotels.” Except in the right fucking spots.
Her face pales as she weighs my potential bluff.
I release her chin and stand tall. “Maybe I’ll just enjoy the show of you groveling before I turn you in.”
My fingers slide lazily along my zipper, a mixture of disgust and undeniable arousal coursing through me.
Lexi. When I fantasized about her, she was always Rose in my mind.
Can’t believe I’m half-hard over this conniving woman.
Her eyes follow my movements, like they’re about to pop out of her skull.
“Let’s see if you’ll get down on your knees and suck my cock in exchange for your freedom. Finish what we started off that night,” I taunt with a smirk. “I’ll even let you enjoy it.”
“Go to hell!” She jumps up, eyes shining with angry tears. “You’re an asshole. If someone took your precious car, then good for them!”
I brace against the pull of her tears, reminding myself who she is. I despise a woman’s tears as much as any man. I clench my jaw, clinging to my anger by a fraying thread.
Yeah, maybe I am being an asshole. But she had the nerve to fuck with me at my lowest, too wasted to tell which way was up.
