A s the kids got on the train to go home at the end of the movie, Andy sat up from where she’d been curled against the arm of the couch. She extended her arms over her head and stretched.

“What did you think?” she asked, watching Dagger so she could see his body language and see if it matched what he said.

“It’s cute. I don’t get how you know you’re a Ravenclaw though.

” He shrugged as he pushed himself to his feet.

“I’ve got someone bringing some things by.

They’ll be here soon. How about we take a break until they’re here and everything’s dealt with then we can start the next one?

I don’t know about you, but I need to piss. ”

“Go ahead. I’m good for a little bit.” She curled back up under the afghan she’d brought with her from the recliner.

She had to admit, even if only to herself, that watching the movie with Dagger had been fun.

It had been too long since she’d rewatched them.

Travis had gotten sick of them and refused to watch with her anymore.

A knock on the door brought her back to the present.

Someone had managed to get up on her porch without her hearing them.

That wasn’t normal but since she’d been kind of out of it for the last few days, it was understandable.

Dagger was still in the back of the trailer, so she went to the door and looked out the small window beside it.

A guy stood there, probably couldn’t be more than nineteen or twenty.

She didn’t recognize him, but he wore a leather vest like Travis and Dagger did, so she opened the door.

“Can I help you?” she asked.

The man on her porch didn’t say anything, just leaned over and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder like a feed sack.

She opened her mouth to scream, to let Dagger know something was wrong but the stranger bounced her on his shoulder, knocking the air from her lungs.

In her new position, she could see his vest didn’t say Fallen Angels on the back like Travis and Daggers did, instead, it said Royal Crows.

She didn’t know much about her brother’s world, but she knew that the Royal Crows were not friends of the Fallen Angels.

No matter which way you sliced it, this couldn’t be good. But what would they want with her?

Before she could catch her breath again, the stranger had moved off her porch, carrying her with him. Her mind spun. Where were they going? What was he going to do to her? Would anyone care? Maybe she’d get to see Travis again sooner than she’d thought.

She grunted when her butt hit something hard as the guy in the Royal Crows vest dumped her off his shoulder into the open door of a van. She blinked, wondering what was going on, but before she could figure much out, pain radiated through her head, then the world went dark.
