Page 77 of Demon's Mate
His ass ached, and he clenched at the thought. Maybe round two should wait. Not that Harper was complaining about the slight discomfort. He’d never wish away the reminder of what they’d done. Being fucked by Ash had changed Harper’s world, and he liked this version so much better than the one he’d left behind.
Ash was his demon. His.
Harper kissed Ash’s neck, feeling his warm skin everywhere. He yearned to get lost in Ash’s body, but there would be plenty of time for that.
“I’d like to meet your brothers.” Harper paused. Would the other demons like him? “Do they know I’m your mate?”
“Yes.” Ash cut an apprehensive glance toward the door. “Dante is thrilled I found you. He never gave up on finding his mate. But Onyx is more complicated. He and I don’t usually get along.”
Hopefully, the other demons wouldn’t be mad about his hunt. Ash understood because they were mates. But Harper couldn’t expect that of the others.
“You don’t have to meet them now,” Ash added, seeming to sense Harper’s hesitation.
“No, I want to.” Harper didn’t want to hide from the other demons. Besides, he had Ash in his corner.
“They’ll love you, Harper.” Ash rubbed circles over his hips with his thumbs. “Just don’t take anything Onyx says to heart. He wasn’t pleased I revealed myself to you without telling them first.”
“Were you supposed to tell them?”
Ash nodded. “It was a strict rule among us, and Onyx’s anger is justified. We’ve been very careful since returning to the Human Realm and have stayed out of the magic world as much as possible.”
“I’d never give you away. I’ll make sure Onyx knows that.”
“I know, sweet. He’ll come around. Don’t worry.” Ash patted Harper’s hip, and he got off Ash’s lap. “Come on.”
They got out of bed and Ash picked up Harper’s lube-soaked thong, lips twisting in a satisfied smile. “I’ll wash this for you and return it next time I see you.”
Harper’s whole body heated. “Okay.” He ducked his head and pulled on his jeans.
Ash set the thong aside. “Would it be all right if I bought you some things?”
Harper tugged his shirt over his head. “Like what?”
Ash rubbed his jaw. “It’d be good for you to keep some clothes here. I could get you the essentials. That way, I don’t have to worry about ruining anything, and you can still be dressed properly after I’m through with you.”
Harper laughed. “Sure.” Having things at Ash’s place gave him a warm fuzzy feeling.
Ash moved closer, putting an arm around Harper. “I’d also like to buy you some more pretty underwear. If you’re comfortable with that.”
Harper stifled a groan. Ash dressing him up and fucking him? “Yeah, I’m very comfortable with that.”
Ash kissed him chastely, eyes glowing. “Perfect.”
Harper pressed his palms against his hot cheeks. “You can’t make me meet your brothers now. I’m all red.”
Ash chuckled. “Sorry. Would you like me to go out and see what they’re doing and give you a minute?”
Harper nodded.
Ash left the room, and Harper sat on the edge of the bed. He picked up his glasses and put them on. He was about to meet the other Hounds. How wild was that?
Not as wild as one of them being his mate, but still. Harper might start laughing uncontrollably. It was all so outrageous.
Once he’d collected himself, he exited the room and walked down the hall, catching the sound of voices as he neared the end.
“Just be civil, Onyx,” Ash grumbled.
The response was too low for Harper to catch.
