"So, what's next for you two?" this coming from Quinn. "When are you going to get hitched?"
Glory looks to me and our family and smiles. "Demetri and I have all the time in the world to get married. So maybe one day. For now, I can say that I am content, and I have never been happier than I am now." She regards our group. "Since when have I been one to play by the rules, anyway?"
"Never," Grace scoffs playfully earning her a wink from Glory.
"I don't need a ring or a piece of paper to tell me we belong together. I love Demetri, and he loves me." Glory leans down and kisses me before turning her attention back to everyone. "I've decided to move in with Demetri. I'm moving back to Polson. I've already put my apartment on the market, and I sent my resume to the school here." When Glory says her next statement, she looks at Grace than to each one of the faces surrounding us. "It's time I come home."
There is a chorus of, "hell yeah" from the guys and an, "about time" from Glory's best friend.
"You know, Logan, if your dad does marry Glory, she'll be your new mommy," Quinn jokes.
I shake my head at his statement, and Glory rolls her eyes.
"Fuckin' Quinn," Jake mutters.
The same time Logan slaps him on the back of his head. "Dipshit."
Jake's face grows from amused to more serious, then stands from his seat. "I think I can speak for all my brothers and the entire family when I say we are fuckin' thrilled the two of you finally pulled your heads out of your asses and found your way to each other." He holds his beer bottle up. "To Demetri and Glory."
"To Demetri and Glory," our family says in unison.
I look around at the people in my life who matter the most and know I'm where I belong. My eyes settle on the face of the woman sitting on my lap.Damn, how did I get so fucking lucky?Threading my fingers through Glory's silky red hair, I lower her head, bringing her lips close to mine. "Welcome home,Krasivaya."
