Neith

W ithout warning, he lifts me into his arms.

His dick nudges my entrance, and I tilt my hips, both of us moaning with pleasure as he enters me. River’s hand threads into my hair as he walks backward, the shower still beating down on us, and he takes a seat on the bench.

I immediately start to rock my hips as he growls, his fingers moving to pluck my nipple, and causing me to move faster.

“Fuck,” he growls.

His hips lift to meet mine, and I break the kiss, leaning backward and changing the angle as my hands reach behind me to hold onto his legs, my nails digging in.

My eyes connect with his, the desire in them burning, as we continue to move. His hand traces a path up my stomach and wraps around my neck. My moan is loud, and he growls in response. The sound vibrating through us both.

I explode, crying out his name as he leans forward and sucks my nipple, nipping it as his hand tightens on my neck, and another orgasm quickly follows the first.

My walls clench around him as I rock my hips faster, his arms wrap around me, pulling me toward him as my lips meet his in a rough kiss. I nip his lip as I roll my hips, my nails digging into his back, making him groan with pleasure.

He shifts, the new angle making me gasp, as he picks up the speed, pounding into me, his hands gripping my ass tight enough to leave bruises, and I fucking love it.

My hands weave into his hair and pull tightly as my lips trail down his neck, and I bite down, hard.

He growls, his own release crashing over him.

He lifts my chin and kisses me softly. The water runs gently over us. I fucking love this shower, it’s awesome, and now every time that I walk in here, I’m going to think of River.

I smile.

“I’m so fucking happy that you’re my mate,” he says softly, as he kisses me again.

I smile, “Me too. You’re mine.”

“Forever,” River replies firmly and full of such conviction that it fixes a broken part of me.

“I like the sound of that,” I reply, kissing him again and then standing up with wobbly legs.

We finish the shower quickly, or at least as quickly as you can shower when it’s interspersed with kisses, water fights, and lots of laughter. I can honestly say that I have never laughed so much while taking a shower. I’m not sure I can go back to the normal boring ones now.

When we eventually do fall into bed together, there’s a huge smile on both of our faces, and I’m so tired that I don’t even worry about drooling on him.

I don’t think he’d care anyway.

The next morning, or rather afternoon, by the time everyone wakes up, is slow.

None of us is quite ready to do much more than eat, drink coffee, and enjoy each other’s company.

I absolutely adore that we all eat together more often than we don’t, and I plan to take advantage of these slow mornings as much as I can because I don’t think that they’re going to be this way for long.

Soon, everything is going to get crazy again, and we’re going to find ourselves rushing around and getting sleep whenever we can. Slow mornings will not be possible.

At least I’m pretty sure that’s where we’re heading, but I’m hoping I’m wrong.

We’re all still in pyjamas and sprawled across most surfaces in the front room, watching some sitcom, when Van sighs.

“Nope, don’t say it,” Reed says immediately.

Coen brushes the hair off my head that’s resting in his lap, and I glance up in time to see him smirk as he adds, “Reed’s right. Don’t do it, man.”

“What’s he going to do?” I ask curiously, clearly having missed something.

Griff chuckles, as he absentmindedly strokes my legs that are resting in his lap, “He’s about to suggest that we call Ty, and get on with stuff for the day.”

“Well, it does need to be done,” I admit somewhat reluctantly.

The guys groan, while Van looks at me triumphantly.

“See, Neith knows I’m right,” he grins, and the guys roll their eyes, although they’re also all smiling.

“We were enjoying some downtime,” Raiden says. “Fuck knows when we’re going to get the opportunity like this again.”

“I don’t want to get dressed,” River moans.

I grin, “Then don’t. I’m enjoying the view.”

River’s eyes flash to his kitsunes, and his grin widens, “That settles it then. I shall never wear a shirt again.”

“To be fair, Ty’s used to seeing you shirtless, he probably won’t bat an eyelid,” Evander says.

“We could probably all stay as we are, he’s not going to care,” Ransom says.

“Good point,” Doc nods, looking a bit happier now that he doesn’t have to change.

Coen sighs, “Alright, let's get this done then. It shouldn’t take too long, and then we can come back and hang out for a bit longer.”

“Agreed,” Van says, as he stands up and stretches.

We all reluctantly get up and follow Van into the conference room.

Although calling Ty the normal way would have meant that we could have stayed where we were, it would have also been a bit more difficult to hear everyone and see everyone, and since we have to discuss the wolves and the case that we will be taking on, it’s probably just a better idea if we do it in the conference room.

It doesn’t take long at all to get everything set up, and Ty soon appears on the screen.

His smile is huge as he takes in all of us.

“I did wonder if I would be hearing from you today, but I am happy to see that you are all taking it easy,” he says with a smile.

Van grins, “Well, we thought we had better get the relaxing in while we can.” He becomes serious, “Before we get into other things, we have decided that thanks to the events of last night, we’d like to be caught up now, rather than waiting until next week when we officially start back at work.”

Ty nods, “Yes. I think that’s wise. I take it that the situation with the wolves has been handled and that they’re dealing with the wolves that were loyal to Derek?”

Evander nods, “Yes. That’s all been dealt with. We do have a situation concerning it, but I’d rather explain that after the update.”

Ty smiles, “Okay. Great work by the way. The easiest thing to give an update on first will probably be what’s left of the Draconian team.

Fetrick is going through his training again.

He’s actually a hell of a lot better than I thought and doesn’t need the training like I thought he would, but he is insisting on doing it, and proving himself. ”

Coen smiles, “He’s a good guy who was dealt a really fucking shitty hand, I’m glad that it’s working out for him.”

Ty nods, “Yes, it would appear that he’s going to be an asset to us.

Jamie is being dealt with by his pack alpha, who isn’t happy at all.

He has also been fired. Rupert is with Draith, and I imagine that, as is customary with the dragons, Draith is waiting until you have been called in to deal with him officially. I do know that he’s in the cells.”

Coen’s smile is sharp, “Good.”

“Is Draith still holding off on bringing Coen in?” Evander asks.

Ty nods and smiles, “Yes, he’s questioning Rupert to get as much information as possible, and I imagine that it will take quite a while to ensure that he has everything he needs.”

I grin, “Draith’s awesome. That should buy us some time.”

“Yeah, it will,” Coen agrees with a smile.

“Great, what about HID?” Doc asks.

“Well, they still haven’t contacted me about Neith, although we do know that the Blue Fucker knows that Neith is alive because of the attack at the compound,” Ty starts to explain.

“The team that I sent in to do surveillance is incredibly close to being able to bring in the head of HID and all of his associates within the organization. It’s taking a little bit more time than we thought it would because the whole organization is riddled with traitors.

They’re going to have barely enough agents left to keep the place going by the time that we’ve arrested all the dirty ones. ”

“Whoa, that many?” Ransom questions with surprise.

“Yeah, if they weren’t directly working with the head of HID, then they were doing their own dirty side deals, and the Head had all of their names written down. The team is going through it now and trying to do damage control before they can bring any of them in.”

“It will need to be planned really carefully because one arrest is going to tip off the others, and then they will all scatter,” I point out.

“Exactly. They’ve got to have everyone in place and organized well enough that they can take down as many of them at once as they can,” Ty agrees.

Reed nods, “That sounds like a huge operation.”

Ty nods, “It is. We’re going to be pulling in a lot of agents.”

“Let us know if you need us,” Griff offers, and we all nod in agreement.

Ty smiles, “Thanks, guys, but not only is it not safe for you to be involved with Neith’s connection to HID, but you also have your plate full with other things.”

“Still, we can help organize or something if you need us to,” Ransom says.

“Okay, I’ll keep it in mind.” He replies and then gets back to the update, “We arrested Dimitri on the same day that you got pulled into the Choosing. He was coming back into the country, and we’re not sure why yet. He is being surprisingly helpful and cooperative.”

I can feel Coen’s gaze on me, but I stay staring at Ty as I swallow thickly. I really fucking hate that he’s in prison, and I fucking shouldn’t.

I know that.

“That doesn’t sound like the Dimitri we’ve had dealings with before?” Evander questions.

Ty frowns, looking confused, “No, it doesn’t. In fact, it’s a direct contrast to how we know him to be.” His gaze lands on me, “He has, however, said that he won’t say anything else until he sees you.”

I swallow thickly, “Can I have a little time? I know it’s important that we figure out what he knows and how he can help, if he is even willing to help with the Blue Fucker, but I just need a little time. I promise I won’t take too long.”

Ty nods, “Yes, of course. He’s already told us a lot, but he said if we wanted to know about HID, he needed to talk to you first.”
