"They can try," Kai snickers with a dangerous smile. "We could use the entertainment."

I laugh, the sound free and genuine in a way it wasn't a year ago. We've earned this peace, this moment of contentment amidst the chaos we still sometimes create.

The city stretches out below our penthouse, visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows we replaced after I kicked Oliver through one a year ago. Lights twinkle like earthbound stars, a testament to the order we've created from chaos. My city. Our city.

I think sometimes about the girl I was before all this—before that fateful night with the twins, before Hudson, before I claimed my crown. She would hardly recognize me now, this queen who rules this dark city. But I think she'd approve of what I've become, of the family I've built, of the peace I've carved out with blood and sheer force of will.

"What are you thinking about?" Hudson asks, his fingers tracing my spine.

"The past," I admit. "The future. How far we've come."

"Regrets?" Kai asks, though his tone suggests he already knows the answer.

I shake my head, rainbow strands falling across my face until Rev gently tucks them behind my ear. "Not a single one."

And it's true. Every scar, every fight, every drop of blood spilled—it was all worth it to end up here, surrounded by the men who are my heart, my soul, my everything. Soon enough we'll face the city again, remind them why they fear us, why they need us. But in this moment, we're just us—Rylan, Hudson, Rev, and Kai—tangled together in the aftermath of pleasure, secure in the knowledge that what we've built will endure.

The dead devils of our past remain where they belong—in their graves. And we, the living devils, rule on.

I stretch languidly between them, already feeling desire stirring again. "So, before we head out to go dancing… as is tradition now," I purr, trailing my fingers down Hudson's chest toward his already hardening cock, "who's ready for round two?"

Their answering grins are all the response I need.

It’s good to be the queen.
